Build Overview

This guide is work in progress and more updates are coming in as we get more information closer to the Lord of Hatred launch.

This will be the strongest Whirlwind leveling build out there. It's Fast, Fun and STRONG! Combining this with Lunging Strike will making this a very mobile build.

ENDGAME PLANNER

This will be your starting variant. For gear at these levels you just take anything that is an upgrade and has an Aspect on it. Any legendary gear will gain additional stats over yellow gear so those are always upgrades even if the aspects don't affect your build.

Your weapon Arsenal selection will be TBD for this set up. This is different from your Technique Expertise.

This will be your starting variant. For gear at these levels you just take anything that is an upgrade and has an aspect on it. Any legendary gear will gain additional stats over yellow gear so those are always upgrades even if the Aspects don't affect your build.

At level 10

Tempering unlock. As long as you can afford it putting Elemental Surge on as many weapons as you can greatly increases your damage, even with rare temper manuals.

Even though during the early stages of leveling Resistances and Armor aren't as important. Once you start moving into Penitent, you'll need to start adding these in.

Tempering and Enchanting are great ways to add Resistances and Armor early on, until you get your End Game gear.

How it Plays

Whirlwind Gameplay Loop

Cast Lunging Strike to build Fury for Whirlwind
Use your Shouts on cooldown. Rallying Cry War Cry
Use Ground Stomp around multiple enemies to help reset the cooldown of Wrath of the Berserker
Cast Wrath of the Berserker to gain Unstoppable, Fury Generation and to pull all your enemies to you.

How it Works

Whirlwind Damage and Toughness

Arsenal Selection

This build will be running on a Two-handed Mace as your Arsenal selection for Whirlwind. Lunging Strike will be set to Dual-wield. Leap will be set to Polearm.

Defenses

Aspect of Heavenly Strength will give you Damage Reduction since your Arsenal Selection is set to Two-handed Mace.
Steadfast Berserker's Aspect will give you Fortify when dealing damage while Berserking.

Offense

Battle-Mad Aspect will be your source of Berserking. When you use Whirlwind it will use your Two-handed Mace. Then when you cast Lunging Strike it will use your Dual-wield, and finally casting Leap will use your Polearm. This is how your weapon swap and how we proc Battle-Mad Aspect.
Heavy Hitting Aspect this adds extra damage to your Whirlwind because we took the Tornado Whirlwind node.
Vehement Brawler's Aspect gives us extra damage each time we cast Call of the Ancients
