Bloody Maelstrom Rend Build

This Build is an extremely powerful Bleed build that doesn't need you to have any unique items but instead relies on the insane interaction of the Aspect of Berserk Ripping and the Skullbreaker's Aspect.

1. Cast Challenging Shout first
2. Follow up with Rallying Cry
3. Start pulling in enemies with Steel Grasp
4. Use Lunging Strike 2 times
5. Cast Rend 2-3 times
6. Use Steel Grasp to re apply Berserking
7. Use Iron Maelstrom for an additional stun and overall screen wide burst damage.

*This combo will One-Shot any non boss pack in the game including any elites up to 10 levels above your current level! To get rid of the delayed animation after Steel Grasp you can use your Evade skill. (See video for in depth explanation of this.) *

When you stun a bleeding enemy you proc the physical damage of Skullbreaker's which then procs Berserk Ripping. This can chain for each stun and leads to massive bleeds.

Damage is a non issue with this build which allows you to focus on defensive stats which gives it a massive advantage over other builds.

Keystone Swaps

You can swap Gushing Wounds with Walking Arsenal to ignore the Crit Rate and Critical Damage stat altogether. If you are taking Gushing Wounds it only counts Critical Damage on your stat sheet. This means any Critical Damage increase you can get through effects (Increase Crit Damage to CC, Stunned, While weilding 2 Hander/1Hander, etc,.) will not apply to the Gushing Wounds bonus.

You can also take Unconstrained for increased Berserking Uptime. You want to use Dual Wield Weapons for Lunging Strike and 2H Slashing Weapon for Rend. This Build requires very minimal investment outside of aspects since the Fury generation is built into the skill Rend and doesn't rely on gear at all.

Tank VS Damage

For even more survivability you can drop points of Steel Grasp and slot them into increased healing or further damage reduction on the skill tree. For Non Gushing Wound Keystone Builds you can drop Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage for More Surviviability. Crowd Control Duration is adding because it extends the uptime of Challenging Shout since the Damage Reduction is directly tied to the Taunt.

For More Damage you can take Close Damage and/or Core Damage instead of Strength/All Stats on all four Weapons.

How to use your Ultimate

You want to make sure you have high berserking uptime by using Steel Grasp and Lunging Strike (Critical Strikes) especially before using your ultimate Iron Maelstrom. For Bosses your goal is to Stagger the Boss as quickly as possible then watch as your bleeds start doing incredible damage to bosses because of the Creeping Death Malignant Heart Seasonal Gem.

Stagger VS Bosses

Any skill or interaction that has Crowd Control (Taunt, Stun, Slow etc.,) causes increased stagger to bosses. In all content you want to be fighting with as much density as possible.

This means if you encounter a standalone elite or the Butcher spawns you want to bring them to the next pack of monsters to get the Fury refund effect from the Rend skill!
