It's an interesting discussion to have for sure, especially since Borderlands is no stranger to broken interactions. Borderlands 2 most noteably has perhaps some of if not the most unchecked damage bugs in the franchise, with many of them even being encouraged by most players.
However it would seem the biggest worry right now for players is that when Gearbox do eventually patch the game to fix these so called broken interactions, many players will be left with no alternative, due to their over-reliance on these oddities within the game. It's certainly a great point to bring up, I mean: think about how many players were left twiddling their thumbs in Borderlands 2 once the bee/conference call nerf happened?
While I don't believe we should be talking down on, or discrediting anyone using these items currently, it is certainly fair to hold firm on the stance that when a damage interaction is too good, it does run the risk of harming the meta more than it helps it, since bugs like these reduce the need to explore and find unique builds that don't rely on recursive damage instances like we are seeing right now.
