Zenless Zone Zero Alexandrina “Rina” Overview

Welcome to our Zenless Zone Zero character guide, where we cover everything you need to know about Alexandrina “Rina” Sebastiane.

Rina is an S-Rank Agent from the Victoria Housekeeping Company Faction, with the Electric Attribute and Support Fighting Style. She is a Standard agent, meaning you can get her from any character banner, along with 5 other S-Ranks: Grace, Koleda, Lycaon, Nekomata, and Soldier 11. This includes the Standard banner, Star-Studded Cast, or a chance to get her as a pity reward when you “lose” the coin flip on limited banners.

While Rina can certainly deal a decent amount of damage herself, her main role as a Support is bolstering the output of other characters in your team, either by boosting their damage directly, weakening enemies’ defenses, or increasing your team’s defensive capabilities.

There are 3 other members of the Victoria Housekeepers that are in the game on release, but Rina’s kit generally looks to capitalise on Electric synergies rather than faction ones. Due to this, she can be slightly more challenging to build an optimal team for, but there are certainly options if you manage to pull her early on.

This guide will cover advice on everything you need to know to efficiently build Rina, as well as tips on maximising her impact on teams and who she is best paired with.

Zenless Zone Zero Rina Build Guide Overview

Alexandrina “Rina” Sebastiane Build
W-Engine Drive Disc
  • Cannon Rotor
  • Electro-Lip Gloss
  • Thunder Metal (4)
    Woodpecker Electro (2)
  • Freedom Blues (4)
    Thunder Metal (2)
Main Stat Substats
  • (4) Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • (5) Attribute Mastery
  • (6) Anomaly Rate
  • Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • PEN
  • ATK%
  • Attribute Mastery

Rina works best with a build that focuses on ensuring there is as much focus on the attribute synergy as possible, hence our focus on Attribute Mastery and Anomaly Rate on the main stat spots. With that being said, this is somewhat of a downside to the Rina setup, as her usefulness, and in turn, the strength of her teams falls fairly dramatically when mobs aren’t able to be shocked.

For her Drive Discs, you should only run the Freedom Blues/Thunder Metal setup on one character in the team, and if you already have another character running it, you should use Thunder Metal/Woodpecker Electro.

Rina Best W-Engines

Cannon_Rotor

Cannon Rotor

ATK: 40/594 | Crit Rate: 8%/20%
Increases CRIT Rate by 8/9.2/10.4/11.6/12.8%. Attacks that land a CRIT on an enemy will inflict an additional 275% of ATK as DMG. This effect can only be triggered once every 8/7.5/7/6.5/6s.
Electro_Lip_Gloss.png

Electro-Lip Gloss

ATK: 46/594 | Attribute Mastery: 24/50
Deal 40/50/60/70/80% more Attribute Anomaly Damage.

Cannon Rotor is a universally strong W-Engine and is an excellent option for Rina in both builds.

If you don’t have Cannon Rotor, you should use Electro-Lip Gloss, which would surpass the strength of Cannon Rotor if it was S-Rank, but given it only being A-Rank, it loses out slightly to the raw power that Cannon Rotor brings.

Rina Best Drive Discs

Disk Drive Thunder Metal S.png

Thunder Metal

(2): Increases Electric damage by 10%.

(4): Upon hitting a Shocked enemy, the struck target takes 30% more damage for 6s. This effect does not stack.

Disk Drive Woodpecker Electro S.png

Woodpecker Electro

(2): Increases CRIT Rate by 8%.

(4): Triggering a critical hit with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter or EX Special Attack increases the equippers ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately.

In this setup, the focus is on ensuring there are Shocked enemies for Rina to hit to trigger Thunder Metal’s 4-set bonus, while giving an Electric DMG and Crit Rate bonus, both of which are massively useful to Rina’s kit.

If you cannot Shock enemies or there are none that live long enough to benefit from the damage buff, the strength of this setup falls dramatically.

Disk Drive Freedom Blues S.png

Freedom Blues

(2): Increases Attribute Mastery by 20.

(4): Increase damage caused by Attribute Anomaly by 30%. When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the target’s Attribute Anomaly Resistance to the corresponding attribute by 30% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute.

Disk Drive Thunder Metal S.png

Thunder Metal

(2): Increases Electric damage by 10%.

(4): Upon hitting a Shocked enemy, the struck target takes 30% more damage for 6s. This effect does not stack.

This build focuses on the synergy between Electric attribute units in Rina’s team comps and is excellent for increasing the damage dealt by Shock, but it should only be used by one unit on the team, as it will not stack between Electric units.

Beyond the Shock and Electric synergies, it provides the Electric damage increase from Thunder Metal, as well as an Attribute Mastery buff, both of which fit perfectly with Rina’s kit.

Rina Drive Disc Stats

Despite being classed as a Support, Rina is very much a DPS-Support mix, and as such, her stat priority builds primarily for damage output, with a focus on Attribute damage.

Main Stats

  • (4) Crit Rate % or Crit DMG %
  • (5) ATK % or PEN % (or Attribute Mastery)
  • (6) Anomaly Rate %

If you are using the first Drive Disc build with Thunder Metal and Woodpecker Electro, you will be using either ATK % or PEN % on slot V, mainly due to the focus on dealing damage to shocked enemies, rather than the second setup with Freedom Blues and Thunder Metal, which instead looks for Attribute Mastery, due to it directly building around Anomaly/Shock damage.

Sub-stats

  1. Crit Rate % or Crit DMG %
  2. PEN
  3. ATK %
  4. Attribute Mastery

Regardless of which build you use, the sub-stat priority stays the same, and focuses around damage output.

Rina Skill Priority

Once the game releases, we’ll update this section. In general, leveling up an Agent’s Core Passive is the most effective, as this levels up their Core Passive, Additional Ability, and Assist Moves.

Rina Teams for Zenless Zone Zero

For Rina, there isn’t much flexibility in her team comps, simply because there is such a massive focus on Electric units to ensure the requirements of her skills are met. With that in mind, we only have 3 options for a team, and those are Grace, Anby, and Anton.

For Rina, the best team choice is going to be running with Grace and Anton, mainly due to all of their passive requirements being met for their skills to be as powerful as possible, as well as Grace’s excellent Shock-proc rates, meaning both of Rina’s builds shine perfectly in this team. We choose Anton over Anby, simply because his focus on damage output vs. Anby’s more stun-oriented kit is simply more useful in this team, with so much CC already going out naturally.

Keep in mind that not having an ideal setup for Rina harms her viability massively and you shouldn’t focus on building her if you don’t have the team recommended, as Anby isn’t a reliable alternative to Grace for Rina.
