Rekkles Swaps to Support Role, Dropped by Fnatic

FNC Confirms: Rekkles Out

FNC confirms that Rekkles will not be with them in the next split of the LEC after his recent role swap.

Rekkles has been one of the most dominant and popular ADC’s in the professional LoL scene for quite some time. He recently switched teams but came back to his true family- Fnatic. However, after his recent role swap to Support, he will not be playing in the starting lineup for Fnatic.

Since his return to Fnatic, the team’s performance has been anything but impressive, with them falling short of the top 5 spots in both the recent Winter and Spring splits. This poor performance means that something has to change between the team: but does that mean taking Rekkles off the starting roster makes all the difference?

Rekkles announces his role swap

Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson has played over 700 games for multiple professional teams in League of Legends. However, it is surprising to see him make the switch to Support which he outlined in his Instagram post this evening.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a professional player switch roles. The likes of Perkz and Zven have made changes to their main role, and both found some success in their alternative roles.

This opens up more questions: who will Fnatic pick up on their starting lineup as their new ADC?
