Thresh

Thresh is a hard but satisfying Support to play in LoL. He is really good into the majority of matchups and can singlehandedly win the lane by getting a good hook off on either the enemy ADC or Support.

Thresh’s kit is extremely versatile. He has multiple CC tools which can lock enemies down. He has a lantern that can save his allies and protect them, and he will get tanky as the game goes along. Thresh is an amazing pick champion and landing several good hooks can result in GG for your lane opponents.

Blitzcrank

Hook champions in general are always good in League of Legends due to their ability to make plays and get picks. Blitzcrank is no exception and remains one of the more dominant and best Supports you can play on the first patch of season 14.

Roaming champions like Blitzcrank are really good. Look to roam around the map and get picks with your Jungler and your other lanes. As long as your ADC will stay safe in the bottom lane, you can keep roaming and applying pressure else where on the map.

Sona

Sona is one of the most underrated Supports’ in League of Legends right now. She has a lot of sustain, CC and can empower her allies so they survive and deal more damage in team fights. Sona’s kit is very undervalued, and if you can play around her squishyness, you’ll soon be climbing in patch 14.1.

A good Sona is someone who effectively trades with the enemy: they minimise damage taken, while maximising damage dealt. You should look to play around your Ultimate to get kill after kill in the bottom lane.

Senna

Senna has been a great Support for some time, emerging as one of the best in the later parts of season 13. In Season 14, patch 14.1, Senna will be a great pick as she can abuse over-extended enemies with her dominating poke and trading power.

If you love aggressive champions, Senna could be the pick for you as she needs to play aggressive with her Q and auto-attacks. She can consistently bully the enemy down and harass them whenever they walk up last hit. Senna is also a great roaming champion and can counter roams or help her allies easily.

Soraka

And the final champion on our is Soraka. Soraka is a hidden OP champion in League of Legends right now. She has a lot of utility and strength, which she will use to empower her allies throughout all game stages.

A good thing about playing Soraka is that she can counter a lot of different matchups. She can either go even or usually win lane (depending on the matchup). Post 6, her Ultimate can positively impact her allies as her Ultimate is a global Ultimate. Her Ultimate can come in handy to save your ally’s lives.

Final Thoughts

The Support role consists of a lot of different champion archetypes, which makes it amazing for Support mains. In patch 14.1, you can play a lot of different champions, so make sure you play champions that you enjoy and are good at!
