The best race for every class in WoW Forever, based on the most recent patch and updates as of 1/11/206. Just remember these are looking at the best damage and survivability options and overall "best" most optimal classes, but the most important choice is to play the class and aesthetic that you will enjoy the most. just use this for information.

Best Races Per Class:

Paladin:

Alliance: Human

Horde: Undead

For Paladin we its going to depend heavy on what spec you are planning to go, but generally no matter what you are dependant on a big mana bar. healing and dealing damage will burn through your mana so for that reason, your The Human Spirit 10% spirit buff is absolutely busted. Its so good, but additionally on human you have Ruthless for a massive crit chance boost. Making human the obvious choice over dwarf.

Shaman:

Alliance: Dwarf

Horde: Windshaper Skyborne or Orc (enhancement), and Troll (elemental)

Extremely well balanced between all races really. Windshaper Skyborne gets a massive haste buff from Wind Blessed which has 100% uptime as its a passive. But then orc and troll have big cooldown abilities with Blood Fury and Berserking. I think early on, skyborne will be strongest, but then for big burst window raiding orc and troll will pull ahead.

Druid:

Alliance: Night Elf

Horde: Windshaper Skyborne

Tauren falls behind in almost every sitatuation, outside of its clear Plainsrunning QoL buff. Every other combat sitatuion, pvp, raiding etc, you are going to perform better on either a skyborne or a night elf. Elune's Light is absolutely busted, so is a massive advantage for Alliance, and then you want skyborne on the horde side.

The only exception here is aesthetic, each race has their own druid forms, so play ones you like the look of.

Warlock:

Alliance: Human

Horde: Orc

Important note, it is my understanding that Eureka! does NOT include damage over time (dots), so for that reason gnome is not the best choice for warlock. If this changes, or if this is incorrect, gnome becomes the best. With that being said, humans become the second choice with base 1% crit in Ruthless and 10% mana from The Human Spirit

For the horde side, Orc gives the biggest damage boost overall with Blood Fury, a huge 10% attack boost, additionally they have Command which gives our warlock pets additional damage.

Mage:

Alliance: Gnome

Horde: Troll

Gnome stomps on every other race with their Eureka! and their 10% additional mana from Expansive Mind before we even talk about their huge pvp buffs. Nothing even comes close for alliance side.

On the horde side, its real close Troll is going to give you a massive damage boost from Berserking and great health regen.

Rogue:

Alliance: Gnome and close second is Night Elf

Horde: any...

The hardest ranking because alliance has 2 of the best options possible. You have gnomes with Eureka! letting you do a disgusting amount of damage in such a short window, making rogues absolute powerhouses. Additionally you have additional energy with Expansive Mind and a TON of pvp utility. Closely followed by Night elf, Shadowmeld for stealth and Quickness for dodge. On top of one of the strongest racials in the game Elune's Light.

Horde are kinda eh.. in comparison. Lots of damage boosts from orc and troll with Blood Fury and Berserking. Undead gives great leech, and then skyborne have the haste for better auto attacks. There really isn't any that are HUGE winners, so I'd go undead for PvP, and Troll or orc for PvE.

Hunter:

Alliance: Night Elf

Horde: Orc

Night elf remains busted with Elune's Light, clearing any other race in terms of raw damage output. On the horde side, orc is amazing for 2 reasons, you have the Blood Fury damage boost and the Command pet damage boost. Easily the best horde side.

Now with the haste buff on skyborne, this is a totally valid option too. 2% is fantastic on hunter so if you want to play the elf, don't feel bad.

Priest:

Alliance: Gnome

Horde: Undead

PLEASE Do your own research on priest. Priest receive a different spell/ability based on their race, and this can massively impact your decision. So look these up and see what you want to have, before just looking at a tier list.

That being said Gnome has again amazing state for priest with Expansive Mind and Eureka! giving you massive buffs. Additionally they have Contingency Plan which is amazing for healing.

On the horde side, undead seems very strong with your leech from Touch of the Grave and additional regen from Cannibalize. Combined with one of the best priest racials Dark Sacrifice where you can tap your health for additional mana (MASSIVE).

Warrior:

Alliance: Night Elf (pve) or Human (pvp)

Horde: Orc or Windshaper Skyborne

Warrior picks up a ton of good things from most races. But in terms of biggest impacts, Elune's Light is once again massively OP in PvE. But human has fantastic buffs in pvp with Will to Survive and Perception and still holds great damage with Ruthless.

On the horde side, haste is one of the best stats to stack on a warrior so Windshaper Skyborne will be fantastic, but orc might be slightly ahead with Hardiness and Blood Fury and Shatter Curse for tank/pvp situations
