The BazaarThe Bazaar Stelle Guide and Overview

In this Stelle guide for The Bazaar, we'll explain how Stelle works, from her playstyle to her example Builds.

Overview

Lore

From The Bazaar site:

"Weapons, engines, an airship or two, there’s nothing Stelle can’t repair or improve. For this high-flying mechanical genius, the sky is never the limit."

Playstyle

Stelle came alongside The Bazaar's Steam release as the game's second DLC Hero after Mak.

A large majority of her items are themed around the Flying mechanic, but there's a wide variety of ways to put them all together.

With her wide access to reliable Haste effects and lower than average Cooldowns, Stelle is easily able to take off long before her enemies.

It's often about scaling her contraptions until they get out of hand, with a greater emphasis on Damage/Shield strategies, alongside some Burn setups.

You can certainly get creative with whatever you assemble, making Stelle flexibly fun to play!

Note: In this guide we'll be covering a few of Stelle's signature aspects but with over 100 items per character there are many more ways to build her.

How to Unlock Stelle

Stelle is one of The Bazaar's DLC Heroes and can be purchased for $20 USD.

Soaring the Skies

Flying is a huge part of Stelle's identity, and one of the best ways to take advantage of it is to simply take off!

Many of her items benefit from Flying, so as long as you have a reliable way of getting into the air, you'll quickly reap the rewards. Speed is often the name of the game here, so try to focus on shortening your startup time as much as possible.

Example Items

Aerial Turret

Aerial Turret is a common example of a Flying Weapon payoff. While it takes a bit of time to get going, once it's up to full speeds it'll quickly run your opponents over. A bit of Damage scaling can go a long way with a one second Multicasting machine.

Tip: Make sure you don't gamble with your Flying support. If you have an item like Caracara which can potentially select a different target, it's usually best to position in a way to guarantee Aerial Turret gains Flying before its first attack.

Lightning Butterfly

Lightning Butterfly is a fast Weapon that comes with its own built-in Flying trigger and Damage scaling. Best of all, the Damage scaling is applied across your entire board, provided that your items are Flying.

It's a pretty solid reason to stay in the air, and you really can't go wrong since it's only a one-slot commitment.

Private Runabout

Private Runabout is a powerful payoff alongside a full board of Flying items. It's like Aerial Turret but without the slow windup, plus significantly more base Damage. Combine it with board-wide Flying support for best results; Launch Tower + Vehicles is a great combo!

Start, Stop, Repeat!

Beyond simply soaring the skies, another avenue to explore is the continuous combos of the Start-Stop archetype.

Take advantage of the many "When X starts/stops Flying" triggers that exist for maximum value!

Example Items

Freefall Simulator

Freefall Simulator is the bread and butter supporting item for the archetype and exists as early as Day 1. Its speed and effectiveness will vary depending on its tier, but it's a very useful way to ensure you target your triggers exactly how you want them.

While it doesn't really do anything on its own, it can singlehandedly enable Start-Stop builds even without more dedicated support. It's a fantastic catch-all, making it a welcome building block during the early stages of a run.

Balloon Engine

Balloon Engine is one of many payoffs for the Start-Stop archetype, with this one focusing on Burn. It effectively turns every start-Flying trigger into Burn, which can occur explosively fast compared to usual Cooldowns.

Pick up some early game Burn skills like Immolating Spark and/or Final Flame, along with any Cinders, and you'll be setup really well until you start approaching the late game.

Gyro Gunsight

Gyro Gunsight along with Airplane Glue provide excellent scaling, especially for their size. While Gyro Gunsight can slot into start-Flying builds, it gets far more value alongside dedicated Start-Stop support.

Clockwork Disc is one exception to the rule as its self-sustaining in its performance, but also happens to work excellently within the archetype. While other items often rely on support from items like Freefall Simulator, Clockwork Disc fits nicely and doesn't need any extra help.

Tool Time

Every engineer needs their Tools, and Stelle is no exception. While Flying builds may be at the forefront of her design, Tools are certainly not to be overlooked.

Their versatility makes them extremely useful, allowing players to either dive all-in, or simply opt for a couple utility pieces. Whatever you decide, you're in good hands with Stelle.

Example Items

Molten Ball Blaster

Molten Ball Blaster is the premiere payoff for the Tool archetype, giving a direct way to turn Tools into raw Damage. What you assemble almost doesn't even matter early on. You simple want speed and efficiency, more than the abilities themselves.

Fast Tools like Blow Torch and Box Cutter are great early pickups, giving the build a speedier start to launch its Molten Ball Blaster. Over time you'll be able to ramp up its efficiency because there are plenty of Tools at your disposal.

Toolbox

Toolbox is a popular pickup even outside of dedicated Tool builds as it's one of Stelle's few Economy items. However, in the Tool archetype itself, it's phenomenal. Simply having the ability to find duplicates can often ramp up your early game efficiency, letting you trade out slower items for duplicate fast ones.

Later on once upgraded, it can also generate much better items for your build. Being able to receive key components for free is a welcome addition and really makes Tools a consistent archetype.

Wrench

Wrench follows alongside Toolbox by helping ensure your board reaches peak capabilities. Upgrades can make a huge difference in The Bazaar, making the existence of Wrench a big benefit that other archetypes don't have.

Hammer also exists in a very similar way, and is particularly easy to enable since you're always hunting for Tools. As a Stelle staple across the board, it sure is nice to get even greater incentive for picking it up!
