Playing Fast 8 in TFT gives you access to some of the strongest endgame boards in Set 16 without needing to push for Level 9. Hitting Level 8 quickly allows you to roll for key 4-cost carries and cap your board with high impact units that can consistently secure top placements.
In this guide, we’ll be showcasing all the viable Fast 8 comps you can play in Set 16.
This comp plays around multiple traits but primarily focuses on Slayers and Vanquishers. The main damage dealers are Bel'Veth and Ambessa, while Swain or the Rift Herald serves as your main tank. This comp is heavily AD-focused.
In this comp, you’re primarily playing around the Zaun trait. The main damage dealers are Warwick and Jinx, while Wukong serves as your main tank. You can comfortably play this comp from a loss streak, as you’ll be able to unlock Singed during Stage 3. It uses a heavy amount of AD items, with any leftover AP items going on Singed or Ziggs.
This comp is built around the Shadow Isle and Warden traits. The main carries are Kalista and Thresh which you will need to unlock by collecting souls with Shadow Isles activated. Ornn with be your main tank and you can look to farm Artifacts to buff up the squad even more.
This comp is built around the Void trait with Kai'Sa being the main carry while flexing in a bunch of traits to buff up the whole squad. You can play a Bruiser frontline which will make your Rift Herald even stronger. You can play AD or AP Kai'Sa while Ziggs can take your AP items later on.
This version of Demacia plays around Lux as the main damage dealer while playing around Zilean as your secondary damage dealer and Garen as your tank. Look to play this comp with a Demacia opener with AP components.
This comp is only playable by collecting Sunshards with the Ixtal trait as you need 500 to unlock the main carry, Brock. You'll also play around a bunch of other traits such as Frejlord and Invokers as left over items can go onto high cost units such as Zilean and Volibear.
This comp plays around a Bruiser frontline with Volibear and Ryze being the main damage dealers. You can angle this comp if you have a Bruiser set up early game or hit the Lifting Competition augment.
This is a Fast 8 comp that plays around Frejlords and Piltover units. This is a board for when you have a Piltover/Invoker opener with a ton of AP components as you want to itemize Lissandra and Seraphine.
This version of Yordles is all about pushing to Level 8 and playing around Veigar. You’ll need to build two Rabadon’s Deathcaps to unlock Veigar, so be on the lookout for item augments. Once you have 8 Yordles activated, you can use the Grab Bag reward to help 3-star several of your higher-cost Yordles.
This comp is built around Slayers and Vanquishers. You goal is to go Fast 8 while playing around Bilgewater so you can farm Silver serpents to buy Gangplanks and Lesser Champion Duplicators from the Black Market and get him 3-star.
This version of Demacia plays mostly around Longshots with Vayne being the main damagers with Kai'Sa and Ziggs backing her up. Angle this version if you have a Demacia opener with Attack speed or AD items. You can hold copies of Vayne throughout the game so you can eventually 3-star her.
This comp is built around the full Zaun squad with your main carries being Warwick, Singed and Ziggs. You can play this comp if you have a weak opener so you can unlock Singed as soon as possible so you can begin your winstreak during stage 3.
This comp plays around vertical Noxus, allowing you to field a much stronger Atakhan on your board. The main carries are Mel, Ambessa, and Swain. It’s best played with a Noxus opener alongside Invokers, as Mel items slammed on LeBlanc can carry you through the mid game until you activate 7 Noxus.
This comp plays around Aurelion Sol as the main carry. You will want to get all the Targon units as soon as possible so you can unlock Aurelion Sol and start farming stacks. Its best played if you find an early Taric and Have AP items.
This comp plays around Frejlord and Invokers with Lissandra, Zilean and Volibear all being the main damage dealers while Braum will serve as the main tank. Focus on unlocks on your way to level 8 as this comp requires 3.
This comp uses a ton of traits with the main carries being Seraphine, Singed and Rift Herald. You need a ton of AP components for this comp and its best played with the Bronze 4 Life augments as it has 8 bronze traits.
This comp plays purely around vertical Ionia so you can activate 7 Ionia. The main carries are Yunara, Wukong, and Sett, while Kindred can hold any leftover items. You’ll want to find an early Ornn so you can farm Artifacts and keep up with other boards in the later stages.
This board plays around multiple traits and is highly recommended if you find the Bronze 4 Life augment. The main carries are Yunara, Lissandra, and Wukong, and once you reach Level 9, you can cap the board by adding Ryze.
This comp is all about hitting 6 Piltover and playing around a massive T-Hex. You’ll want to look for Caitlyn 3-star, as she makes the T-Hex stronger. Then, add in the full Piltover lineup so you can activate all three modules.
This comp is built around Shurima, with Diana as the main damage dealer, allowing Xerath to clean up backline units with his ability. It’s best played if you naturally find Leona copies during the mid game so you can unlock Diana as soon as possible.
