TFT Set 18 Guide: How to play Fae Rengar Tristana reroll

If you haven't played this comp, you must try it!

Because Rengar's ult makes him attack and heal at the same time, he can attract the Golden Pixie extremely fast once he becomes Fae with the emblem.

Fae Rengar can generate 20 gold and up to 30 gold per round during the late game, making it much easier to hit level 10 and even get 3★ 5-costs.

Key Conditions

• Fae Emblem (Spatula + B.F. Sword) or Hunter Emblem (Pan + B.F. Sword) on Rengar
• Early Rengar to farm stacks
• Recurve Bows are largely needed.
• Finish with Rengar 3★ + Tristana 3★ + ANY 3★ 3-cost tank (could be either Rammus, Vi, or Hecarim)
  

Itemization

For Rengar

• Fae Emblem turns Rengar into a ruthless gold-generating machine, meanwhile also gives him a lot of stats and healing!
• Rengar's one core and best item is Guinsoo's Rageblade
  
  Since Rengar already gains a lot of AD/AP from Fae Trait, the only thing he really needs is the attack speed, Guinsoo's Rageblade perfectly solves that problem.
• Pick either Sterak's Cage or Edge of Night as Rengar's last item for survivability.
• Rengar is super flexible with items, slaming Titan's Resolve on him is also very good.
  
  Since Rengar has both AD and AP ratios, Titan's Resolve provides everything he needs while also making him immune to CC once fully stacked.
• Guinsoo's Rageblade or Titan's Resolve + Fae Emblem + Edge of Night is the safest combination.
• Rengar Artifacts: Titanic Hydra > Mittens > Rapidfire Cannon > Fishbones
• Rengar can make really good use of a lot of emblems. His emblems priority however is Fae Emblem > Hunter Emblem > Sprykin Emblem. Fae Emblem is the best.

For Tristana

• Tristana's core item is Guinsoo's Rageblade.
  Same as Rengar, Tristana already gains a lot of AD/AP from Fae Trait, the only thing she truly needs most is just attack speed.
• Tristana scales extremely well with attack speed items. Kraken's Fury is great on her, and you can even run double Kraken's Fury.
• Because there are many backline threats in this set, Hextech Gunblade is a great last item for Tristana to keep herself alive and heal her allies.
• You could also build Last Whisper and Red Buff on her, those are also great. In general, when you are building Tristana, try to be flexible and focus on a strong early/mid game tempo.
• Tristana BIS: Guinsoo's Rageblade + Kraken's Fury + Hextech Gunblade

For Rammus

• Tank items are much more flexible in general.
• Evenshroud for armor penetration, Sunfire Cape for burn/wound.
• Gargoyle Stoneplate is good since you are focusing on one 3 stars tank champion.

When to Roll / Leveling

• Roll mainly at Lv7 since you are playing a 3-cost reroll comp. This gives you the best chance to hit your 3★ units.
• However, you could totally roll once or twice at early game for wisps and upgrades. Since Rengar needs to be strong at early game to farm stacks.
• Before you find Lillia, use Xayah for the 4 Fae synergy.
• If you already have a Fae Emblem, you should try to find Rengar asap if you still haven't got him. And try to be as strong as possible!
  Don't worry about spending your gold — once you have the setup, Rengar will make it back very quickly.
• Roll aggressively for your 3★ units to spike your board as soon as possible, since Rengar will make the gold back anyway.

Late Game / How to Get 1st

Because Rengar generates so much gold per round, you can easily level to 9 or 10!

From there, add in Ivern and a 5-cost tank such as Taric or Maokai.

Ivern does best with multiple mana items, and his shield is extremely impactful in the late game, providing more time for Rengar to farm even more gold!

With Ivern 2★ and Maokai/Taric 2★, you should already be in a great position to secure 1st place.

Ashe 2★ with Red Buff, Last Whisper and Spear of Shojin is the best support carry in the late game.

You could also add in Fae Lux or Primal Lux if you have AP tiems.
