TFT Choncc or Treat: How to Play, Rewards & Comps

Set 18

Overview

Choncc or Treat brings a Halloween twist to TFT Set 18: Enchanted Wilds. This limited-time version of Choncc’s Treasure gives you an expensive starting champion, extra loot, and special items that let you field even bigger teams.

Here’s how the mode works, potential rewards you can earn, and a couple of team comps to try.

Choncc or Treat Event Dates

Choncc or Treat runs from October 21, 2026, at 10 AM PT until November 17, 2026, at 10 AM PT.

The schedule is subject to change, so check the in-game event timer for the latest information.

How Choncc or Treat Works

The mode uses the Enchanted Wilds set with several additions that give you more resources to build your board:

  • A powerful starting champion: Everyone begins with a 4-cost or 5-cost unit. All players receive the same cost tier, but not necessarily the same champion.
  • Extra loot after carousels: Choncc drops loot orbs after each stage’s carousel. These can contain Artifacts, Tactician’s Crowns, Spatulas, Frying Pans, champions, and more.
  • Halloween visuals: The carousel and Opening Encounter champions receive a seasonal makeover.
  • Mode-specific adjustments: Some Opening Encounters and Augments are disabled, while certain champions and traits have balance changes.

You can also find two exclusive items. Choncc’s Crown increases your maximum team size by two, while Choncc’s Chalice increases it by one.

There’s also a comeback mechanic. When your Tactician falls below 50 Health, you receive a Golden Orb containing a Radiant Item, a Reforger, and a large amount of gold.

Choncc or Treat Rewards

The Choncc or Treat event includes three missions that award Realm Crystals:

  • Choncc Champion: Play 10 matches of TFT, 3-star a 5-cost champion, or activate a Prismatic trait. You only need to complete one of these objectives.
  • Candy Cache: Collect 100 Choncc loot orbs.
  • Chic Cosplay: In Choncc or Treat, use an emote when Choncc visits your board and have him emote back.

Team Comps to Try

Choncc or Treat’s extra resources make building an expensive late-game team more accessible. Your starting 4- or 5-cost champion can help carry the early rounds, while Choncc’s bonus loot gives you more resources to work with as you level and upgrade your board.

This makes Fast 9 an appealing approach, with AP Exodia and AD Exodia offering two ways to build around powerful late-game carries. Everyone benefits from the additional loot, though, so keep your board strong enough to protect your Health while saving for Level 9.

Reroll is also worth considering when you find plenty of early copies or an Artifact that suits your carry. We’ve included two Fast 9 boards and two reroll comps below, adapt them to your starting champion, items, and any extra team slots you receive. For more options, check out all our TFT team comps.

AP Exodia

AP Exodia plays around Alune and Lux, backed by a strong frontline. Consider this route when your items suit AP carries and your early board is strong enough to support leveling toward 9.

Carries: Alune, Lux, Taric

AD Exodia

AD Exodia builds around Draven and the Elder Dragon, supported by expensive frontline units. Consider this option when your items favor physical damage. Remember that the Elder Dragon occupies two team slots when planning your board.

Carries: Draven, Maokai and The Elder Dragon

Adapt or Die

Adapt or Die is a Level 7 reroll comp built around Master Yi and Rengar, with Vi or Krug providing your frontline and Nidalee joining later.

Look for 3-star upgrades to your core units before pushing levels. Consider this board when you find early copies of your carries or an Artifact that suits Master Yi.

Carries: Master Yi, Rengar, Nidalee and Vi

Kill, Stack, Repeat

Kill, Stack, Repeat focuses on Veigar’s permanent scaling, with Ornn tanking and LeBlanc adding another source of magic damage.

Reroll at Level 5 for Veigar and Ornn 3-star, then move to Level 6 for better odds of upgrading LeBlanc and Alistar. Look for an early upgraded Veigar, suitable AP items, and plenty of natural copies to get started.

Carries: Veigar, LeBlanc and Ornn

If you choose one of the Fast 9 options, our Set 18 Fast 9 guide explains how to manage your economy and when to spend on upgrades. For the reroll boards, our TFT reroll guide covers which levels to roll at, how to slow roll and when to spend more gold finding your core 3-star units.
