Intro

Crucial reason you must know why reroll 2-cost will be so good:
In Patch 18.2 of TFT Set 18, Yunara and Warwick are HUGEly buffed!
Meanwhile other meta comps all got nerfed!
These combined means a 2-costs reroll meta is COMING!

Guide

This is the simplest and cleanest 2-costs reroll guide you can find online. Let's dive right in!

There are 3 main comps which will be very good in patch 18.2:
1. Yunara Alistar (S tier)
2. Caitlyn Scuttlecrab (S tier)
3. Warwick Murkwolves (A tier)

First of all, let's start with Yunara Alistar. And use it as an example!

Main Tank: Alistar

For Alistar Gargoyle Stoneplate is the best and most important item, because we are solo-fronting him, this will give him a lot of resistances.

Try to get this "Solo Plate" (Gold) Augment, this is the best Augment for a solo-tank!

Main Carry: Yunara

Yunara is already an Executioner, so she doesn't need Infinity Edge. (But it's okay if you have to make it.)
As a caster, she only gains 7 mana per auto attack, so she needs either Spear of Shojin or Blue Buff otherwise she will cast very slowly.
Deathblade is the perfect item for AD carry if you can get it. But you will need two B.F. Swords.

Leblanc is the 2nd carry. She can carry your left-over AP items.
Leblanc is very useful because she can provide copies of the units on your board to make it easier for you to 3-star them, especially if Leblanc can participate in the takedowns, she will gain more chance to create a copy.
This makes it more rewarding to win-streak with this comp.
If you don't have left-over AP items, or are too far away from 3-starring her, you don't have to chase her.
Just go Lv8 to find the 4-cost tank Sett and executioners Soraka and Ezreal.

They can be just as impactful as a 3-star Leblanc.

Foundamental and Tips for Reroll

The advantage of 2-costs reroll:

We normally play a 2-cost reroll comp when we naturally get its core champions from the beginning.

For example, for Yunara reroll, if we naturally get 2 copies of Yunara early from our natural shop and orb, we can call the shot from there!
Unlike 3-costs, due to it already has 30% chance to appear in your shop in Lv4, it's VERY EASY to 2-star them in the early game.

A early 2-star Yunara has a huge chance of winning every round in the early game, and dominating the lobby.
Which will help you build great lead early, and snowball into the late game!

Gold Augment "Trade Sector" is THE BEST augment for 2-costs reroll in this set.

Not only because it will allow you to roll for the champions, but also at the meantime --- the Wisps!

The Wisp is a unique mechanic for this set, which will appear every other shop (means every 2 shops), brings strong benefits to your team.
With Trade Sector, you can reroll once and get a Wisp every round!

This means, you will be in a HUGE advantage in the early game.

Now before we get into our next section, please allow me to introduce myself.
I'm DarkDraven69, Mobalytics's TFT Expert and Multiple Sets Rank 1, and you can count on me when comes to actual in-game details.

Certain wisps you might want to take ↓

This one "Minor Blood Ritual" is THE BEST, I will take it everytime to 2-star my 2-cost early so that I can dominate the lobby and snowball hard.
Losing 3 Player Health is literally nothing in the early game, if anything, it might even help you get a carousel advantage to pick item early.

This one "All Twos" is another MUST TAKE, it's so cheap as you can see it only cost 1 Gold, and a normal reroll costs 2 Gold. 1 Gold for a all 2-cost shop is absolutely worthy.

"Rolling Bones" is another one I will always take. The chance is simply too high. And since you are so strong early game, you are basically going to kill everyone in the enemy team.
So overall you are paying 3 gold for 3-4 rerolls. Maybe even more if you are lucky.
What I found out is that the text says 50% chance, but in reality it's actually higher since the game designers don't want to disappoint their players. So the hidden chance is actually higher than 50%.

This one "Journeyman" is not as good as it looks like but it's acceptable.
Often the 2-star 2-cost won't be the one you desire but still there is a small chance for you get Yunara or Alistar.

"Component Bounty" is a risky one, but, since we are playing 2-costs reroll, we are super strong early game, we can bet on it.

MUST KNOW Knowledge About Augment

Prismatic Ticket is not always a good choice, very often it's a trap.

From my real experience, this Augment is not worth taken.
I would only take it under one situation --- If I'm being contested by another player who wants to play the same reroll comp, and I have to fight for the chance to 3-star them.
Outside of that, it's really not worthy.
This might sound very counter-intuitive but here is how it works:
Once you have taken Prismatic Ticket, before you 3-star your champions, you are basically behind a Prismatic Augment.
When you are playing 2-costs reroll, you are supposed to be strong in the mid-game, not weak. And this Augment will kill your mid-game unless you use it to get your 3-star in one round.
And because you are only 3-starring two or three champions, you don't really need that much econ.
Once you have 3-starred your champions, Prismatic Ticket becomes a liability. This augment was good back in the era when one reroll-comp could be very OP, but now it's not the same.

When you choose Worth The Wait Ⅱ at the beginning of the game and it gives either Yunara or Alistar, don't chase the other one!

For example, if you get Yunara 3* for free from this Augment, what you should do is that you follow the tempo, play aggressive early, go to Lv8 and try to find Sett as your main tank to replace Alistar.

Vice versa! But if you get free Alistar 3*, your choices are much wider, you can literally play any 4-costs carry but normally it would be Ezreal since he is also Elderwood.

When we get our core 2-cost champion from the Augment Warpath, the game becomes really spicy!

This gives us the permission to play aggressive early. And don't worry, we are still playing 2-costs reroll.

The reward is really juicy, it will give multiple 5-costs champions, a 4-costs 2* champion and two completed item anvil, which you can use to itemize your 5-cost support carry!

2-costs 3* is insanely strong in mid game, use them to deal tons of player damage to your opponents!

From my own experience, this is a very consistent strategy in Set 18 and it's also my favourite strategy because it's exciting and fun. You should definitely try it out!

When should I roll for my 3-star 2-cost?

Remember one core rule: Seperate your rolls to different rounds.

Set 18 is very different when comes to reroll, because of the existence of Wisps, you want to use Wisps to help you achieve your 3-star.

As we have mentioned before, certain wisps provide rerolls are very helpful.

A Simple Rule: Try to get 2 to 3 copies per round after stage 3-2, and a good wisp. then stop rolling. Don't be greedy.

Caitlyn Scuttlecrab Reroll

[Caitlyn reroll team builder link]

  • Need a lot of Recurve Bows for Attack Speed items.
  • Caitlyn is also fine with crit items if you really can't find so many Recurve Bows.
  • Between Scuttlecrab and Sejuani, the one 3* first becomes the main tank and wears 3 items.
  • Go for the "Blessing of The Turtle" for your Primal Spirit will make your team VERY tanky.
  • Can flex to the Vanguard Elise Caitlyn reroll if you get a lot of Elise instead.
  • The comp has basically the same flow as the Yunara Alistar comp we have just learnt. So you can apply what you learnt from the previous part to this comp easily! Such as Wisps, Augment choices. etc.

Shimmerscale Essence is the best Prismatic Augment for Caitlyn reroll. Scuttlecrab is the perfect user for Mogul's Mail meanwhile Caitlyn is perfect user for Gambler's Blade.
This augment will give you a lot of money and tempo in the early game, you can 3-star your champions so much earlier and snowball so hard with it.

Promised Protection is the best Augment for your Juggernaut frontlines.
Remember to make as many Protector's Vow as possible when you have this Augment!

Hextech Gunblade is the best 3rd item for Caitlyn.
Because your tanks are so tanky in this comp, Caitlyn herself becomes the vulnerable in this comp. A lot of times this comp might lose because Caitlyn dies to backline access. Hextech Gunblade keeps Caitlyn alive while providing a lot of healing to frontline.

Warwick Murkwolves

[Builder Link to Wariwck Murkwolves Reroll]

Titan's Resolve is the best and core item for Warwick!
Because with this comp, the fight is ideally going to be very long, so Titan's Resolve fits its style perfectly. The CC immunity when fully stacked is crucial for Warwick.

Spear of Shojin has more priority than Sterak's Cage, since this item is crucial for Warwick to ramp up faster.

Artifact Dawn Core can be a even better replacement for Spear of Shojin.

Sterak's Cage is the most replaceable item in Warwick's build, if you want this comp to cap harder, you can replace it with ↓

Murkwolves is your secondary carry. His ultimate forces him to dive deep into the enemy team to assassinate enemy backlines, which means he'll get focused immediately once your main tank dies. Edge of Night is amazing on him because of this.

When you give "the Alpha Mark" to Murkwolves after he is 3-starred, he will be able to crit with his ulty, that's why you don't need Infinity Edge on him. Hand of Justice and Quicksilver are much better.

Before Murkwolves is 3-starred, it's much better to give “the Alpha Mark" to Scuttlecrab, this will make your team much tankier.

At 3-2 and Lv6, Try to get this board with 3 Riftbeast and 2 Blackthorn, this board is extremely strong during mid game and will make sure you dominate stage 3.
Remberer to scarifice the Krug and give the Alpha Mark to the Scuttlecrab.
Use Rek'Sai as the item carrier for Malphite, if Malphite doesn't come, it's also great to use Scuttlecrab or Sejuani 3* as your main tank.

That's the whole guide!

Thank you so much for reading!!! <3
