Welcome to our preliminary Relic tier list for Slay the Spire 2. Here we'll give you our rankings of all Relics available in the game.

Seeing as the game has just launched into Early Access, consider this an early look while we still learn and explore the mechanics of the game. We'll be updating the list along the way, especially as new patches shake things up.

Relics are a crucial part of success in Slay the Spire 2. Not all Relics are created equally, however, and here's our breakdown of which ones will carry you to success and which are best left with the shop keeper.

Disclaimers

• Some Relics are better suited to specific characters or situations - this list judges Relics on their general usage across the entire roster as a whole.
• Various Relics have incredible synergy with each other (such asAmethyst Aubergine, Lucky Fysh and Dragon Fruit) which may boost the Relic value in your runs compared to on this list. Here, we will judge Relics assuming you can't always have such synergies available.
• Relic placements factor opportunity cost. For example, Daughter of the Wind is seen in the same event as Mr. Struggles and Bing Bong. This means that they will be compared heavily to each other when ranked.
• Similarly to above, Shop exclusive relics such as Ghost Seed and Dolly's Mirror factor in their gold cost. Events that give relics may be very strong, but provide a relic that is purely negative (such as Royal Poison), these relics will be evaluated with the full context of their event in mind.
• Relic rarity impacts frequency of appearance as well as shop price. If i relic is similar strength to a relic of lesser rarity, it will likely be placed lower.
• Relics are NOT precisely ordered within tiers
• Ancient and Starters are NOT included in this list

S-Tier: The best of the best. These relics are almost guaranteed to be extremely impactful in your run. Usually worth spending money on, and often worth making deck building and/or pathing decisions around.

A-Tier: Relics in this tier are only a slight step down from S-Tier, generally less consistently powerful but still have a high ceiling and/or run warping potential.

B-Tier: Pickups that will serve you well in almost all runs. While not the cream of the crop, they usually provide good value.

C-Tier: Niche or inflexible relics. Likely to not have much impact compared to the relics in tiers above.

D-Tier: Highly situational and/or low impact Relics. May even be negative.
