SWAPPING TO & DEALING WITH BONESHATTER
Boneshatter of Complex Trauma deals a notoriously large amount of damage to you as you build up Trauma stacks. in order to continue attacking "normally" (i.e: NOT be chunked for 500+ dmg per hit), a large amount of mitigation is REQUIRED.
DO NOT SWAP TO
Boneshatter of Complex Trauma UNTIL YOU HAVE AT LEAST:
Inexorable,
Vigour &
Stamina- 8k+ armor (UNBUFFED)
- "%additional phys dmg reduction" on Body Armor (craft or natural mod)
Tribal Fury (& "+1 strike target" mastery)
Vitality Void (& "25% recoup" mastery)
keep using
Sunder until you meet ALL of the above requirements
as soon as you can afford some Eldritch currency (Lesser Eldritch Ichor / Ember), look for:
"%phys taken as [X element]" (use Ichors) on both your helmet and body
"non-vaal strike skills target 1 additional nearby enemy" (use Embers) on gloves
having a
Granite Flask and
Cast when Damage Taken Support x
Molten Shell (leveled up!) will also help tremendously.
you can also temporarily spec into
First to Strike, Last to Fall (foregoing
Fortitude & keeping "Melee Hits Fortify" mastery), if you find yourself getting chunked to 50% HP frequently
when you swap to
Spinesnatch (much higher attack speed), you may need quite a bit more mitigation - I recommend you start using
Replica Soul Tether OR
Glorious Vanity (Doryani Corrupted Soul) x
Divine Shield to mitigate the much more frequent self-dmg from
Boneshatter of Complex Trauma
once you craft Aspect of Lunaris (Brinehook's Ducat), it removes the need to do the above
