Path of Building Code

Build Overview

Holy Hammers Slayer has been one of the coolest builds that I have played in a while.

Holy Hammers scales really well with power charges and thanks to being a Slayer we can take full advantage of this.

This build allows us to stack 10 Power , Frenzy and Endurance charges and with some simple gear swaps we can get another 10 Brutal Charges. Making this a 30+ Charge Stacking Holy Hammers Slayer.

This link will also allow you to track any changes I make including experimenting with skills like Holy Sweep.

The entire premise of this build goes as follows:

1) Go into map and automatically cast warcries

2) Generate all your charges by the time you hit the first enemy

3) Cast Holy Hammers with 10 Power Charges

4) Blow up the screen


The only real downside to the build is for bosses to maximize damage you have to position properly. The ideal place to click and swing is slightly in front of the boss so the hammer hits and overlaps. You can see a full explanation of how the skills works and how to position in the video!


How To Level This Build

For this build we will be selecting the Duelist Ascendancy and leveling up to eventually swap to Slayer. The goal is to play Slayer through the campaign and early maps until endgame. Once we get to endgame we can transition into high end slams or swap on over to Gladiator.

NOTE WE ARE PLAYING A MELEE BUILD WE WILL NEED TO CONSTANTLY BE UPGRADING OUR WEAPON EITHER WITH GAMBLING OR USING CURRENCY WE FIND WHILE LEVELING. AT ANY POINT IF YOUR DAMAGE FEELS BAD YOU NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR WEAPON!!!

Act 1

From level 1 until level 12 we will be using the following:

Spectral Throw + Chance to Bleed Support + Volley Support

For our weapon we want to use any 2 handed axe we can come across. The harder hitting the weapon the better

This setup will carry us all the way until level 12. Once we hit level 12 we can start using Sunder. Sunder will be the skill we use throughout the entire campaign and we can even use it deep into the end game.

Once Sunder is unlocked out links become the following

Sunder + Maim Support + Ruthless Support once we get a fourth link we will be adding Melee Physical Damage Support. The setup we are aiming for is to play a traditional slammer and fully convert over to bleed once we get done with the campaign.

While in Act 1 also pick up the following gems to use and level:

Leap Slam + Frostblink Faster Attacks Support

Enduring Cry + Intimidating Cry + Blood and Sand

Precision

Act 2 - 6

As you progress through the campaign you will start to pick up some more skills including Herald of Purity for big damage and Blood Rage so that we can grab some Frenzy charges!

The main thing to note for Act 2 - 6 is to just go forward. Slam when you see enemies. Activate your Intimidating Cry for big damage and using Enduring Cry when you need a heal or want some Endurance Charges for a bit of extra tank

Act 6 - 10

Once we get to Act 6 and unlock Lily on the beach we can really start to flesh out our build with some nice skill gems. If you are lucky in the slave pens or on the twilight strand you will get a 5 link and you can setup your Sunder as follows:

Sunder + Fist of War Support + Ruthless Support + Fortify Support + Melee Physical Damage Support

We can also start to setup a warcrys for some extra damage

Autoexertion + Rallying Cry + Intimidating Cry + Seismic Cry

The rest of our skills and auras stay the same!

Once we get through the campaign we can swap on over to Holy Hammers!

Note you can swap in Act 6 to Holy Hammers but the campaign is a ton smoother to stay as Sunder. Even until you can equip the gear for Holy Hammers I would recommend just staying as Sunder

How to craft the staff: HOW TO MAKE THE WEAPON:

1) Alt spam until % Phys on staff 1
2) Alt spam for + Phys on staff 2
3) Recomb 1 and 2 together
4) Craft on cannot roll attack and exalt slam some dogshit in the prefix
5) Lock prefix reforge speed
6) Lock prefix win veiled exalt unveil crit str/int (lock any damage over time multiplier)
7) Cannot roll attack annul off shit prefix
8) Craft on hits cant be evaded
9) Shaper exalted slam and pray
