Build Overview

This is Guide for my Ele Shockwave Cyclone Slayer Build for Path of Exile 3.28 Mirage.

About the Build:

In 3.28 Screams of the Desiccated and new supports opened a lot of new builds possibilities.

For this Shockwave Cyclone Build we can combine Diamond Shrine Screams of the Desiccated belt with The Winds of Fate weapon, completley negating downside of The Winds of Fate since ALL our hits are going to be Critical automatically.

New Invert the Rules Support + Trinity Support will help with DPS too, boosting out elemental damage significantly.

And Marylene's Fallacy will provide even more Critical Multiplier + Free Culling Strike.

Since damage is already very decent with combo above, we can focus on Survivability instead.

❗As Defense we have: 89% Max res, Ailments Immunity, Life + ES recover on Block, 75% Block and 73% Spell Block, Fortification, 5 Endurance Charges, Energy Shield with Leech and recovery.

All of that makes Ele Shockwave Cyclone Slayer a very comfortable build to play.

For this Cyclone Slayer build to function you will need:

Screams of the Desiccated with DIAMOND SHRINE Buff

The Winds of Fate weapon

Marylene's Fallacy Amulet (Corruption can be ignored)

The Red Nightmare for Block

Replica Stampede or The Stampede to move faster.

IMPORTANT:

For Elemental builds and for Ele Cyclone in general big part of DPS comes from Tincture, so get as good Tincture as you can and activate it all the time when you need a dps boost.

What Jewels to use?

Lethal Pride (Akoya Chainbreaker) could be any that provides double damage at least twice.

Watcher Eye should have +Max Res, Rest is not important.

Rest of the jewels should have +2 Max Res to help you cap it to 89% + some damaging stats.

Why The Writhing Jar?

Jar flasks are good for instant recovery and help with DPS boost via Void Shockwave repeats.

Recover 2% of Energy Shield when you Block Spell Damage while wielding a Staff

Recover 2% of Life when you Block Attack Damage while wielding a Staff

Life Mastery (2)

Skills Cost Life instead of 15% of Mana Cost

15% increased maximum Life if there are no Life Modifiers on Equipped Body Armour

Rage Mastery (1)

Nearby Enemies are Intimidated while you have Rage

Leech Mastery (1)

5% of Leech is Instant

Block Mastery (1)

+1% Chance to Block Spell Damage per 5% Chance to Block Attack Damage

Reservation Mastery (1)

+1% to all maximum Elemental Resistances if you have Reserved Life and Mana

Elemental Mastery (1)

Hits have 15% chance to treat Enemy Monster Elemental Resistance values as inverted

Make sure that you have Fire Resistance Tattoos around The Red Nightmare to boost your block to the cap.

If you don't have enough levels, drop $% spell block point and Endurance charge's or Max Res Lines.

How to generate Frenzy charges?

Poacher's Mark quality provides frenzy charges when you hit marked enemy. You only need 3.

What Stance to Use for Flesh and Stone? (Blood or Sand)

Elemental Cyclone Slayer cant benefit from Blood so use Sand stance all the time for better survivability.

When to use Desecrate?

Use it only on bosses when you don't have other monsters around.

Best Imbued Options?

For Cyclone it should be Energy Leech Support, if you cant get it Elemental Damage with Attacks Support or Endurance Charge on Melee Stun Support can be solid too.

For Ground Slam of Earthshaking going for Trinity Support is recommended.
