Build Overview

How the wyvern build works is it relies on power charges to get massive damage in single target and clear.

For Clear you want to use Rend to kill white mobs then Devour them when they die or are primed for devour to get your @power charges to then enhance Rend for massive electrical aoe wing cleaves.

For Bosses you want to Rend them until they are primed for stun (will have a little light symbol flashing on them 75% of stun bar) and then you use Wing Blast to stun them knocking them down jumping you back and it also gives you power charges then you then use with Oil Barrage to enhance it and do massive single target damage, you can usually kill any boss in campaign with one knock rotation.

The Second Variation of a League Start is Plant Daddy or Entangle Druid. All Details for that Build are in the Additional Tab. However, the build uses Entangle with Thunderstorm to destroy mobs and bosses for an easy playstyle 2-button build through the campaign.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Incredible Damage - Melts Everything
  • Fantastic Single Target
  • Fantastic AOE Damage
  • Easy Leveling with Rend
  • Got to T15 with 1 to 5 ex items
  • Leveling has some interesting Wyvern Gaps - Mostly Use Rend until we unlock Flame Breath. Turns out Rend is amazing so its ok.

Vendor Regex: "!(uiv)" "tali|mov|[egdl] da.* to a"

Don't spend any Regals, Alcs, Runes, or Exalts until Act 2. You're saving them for the level 22 Frenzied Talisman

Weapon: Click here for a very detailed guide on how to get great weapons throughout campaign. Having a great weapon versus having a bad weapon drastically changes your damage, so I strongly recommend reading it. When you reach level 34, craft a Rabid Talisman. This will be replaced by a Voltfang Talisman at level 46.

Boots: Movement Speed > Resists / Life / Armour

Rings/glove: High flat damage (preferably lightning damage for shock) > Resists / Life

Helmet/Body Armour: Resists / Life / Armour

Amulet: Life / Resists

Belt: Rawhide Belt with Resists / Life / Armour

For Rend: Use Rage to build up damage. For each point of rage you have built up you deal an extra 1% more damage. so 30 rage = 30% more damage (that's huge). Or if your damage is good, you can just use Magnified area for increased aoe size of your rend.

How it Works

Level 1-30

In early Act 1, use Contagion and Volcano. You'll drop both of these when you reach level 6 and swap to Rend + Wing Blast.

From level 6 onwards you'll use Rend and Wing Blast for both clear and single target.

Your rotation goes like this:

  1. Frost Bomb to apply exposure (keep this up for the duration of the boss)
  2. Rend to prime monsters for stun
  3. Wing Blast the primed monsters to cause a massive explosion

It's best if you have Magnified Area I in for clearing, and Concentrated Area in for single target on Rend.

At level 22 you'll get Ferocious Roar. Use this to generate max rage.

Level 31+

In Act 3 at level 31, you get access to Oil Barrage. Prime bosses for stun with Rend, stun them with Wing Blast to generate 3 power charges. From there, you have two options:

  • Just use Oil Barrage one the boss
  • Use Rend and then use Oil Barrage

I believe option 2 is most efficient, but option 1 works if you prefer that.

At level 36, you'll get Lingering Illusion which lets you generate power charges without having to prime for stun. Just use dodge roll, have the boss kill your illusions, and pick up the power charges.
