I'm trying to remake one of my favourite character from 0.3, with some changes in 0.4. The build is pretty simple and straight forward. The Variant updated for 0.4 below match my current character in-game.
Braindead Warmachine - The MOST SIMPLE BUILD period! - Titan Scattering Calamity - by UncleJay
Build Overview
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Pretty good dmg, Offscreen clear with built in autotarget + chain
- Multiple layers of Crowd Control with Electrocute, Stun and Tempchain slow
- 1 button + completely automated weapon swap without having to setup
- Decent EHP with good recovery from leech, both Life and ES
- Not really tanky, u still need to move out of the "obviously big dmg" abilities from bosses
- There's a bug that unbind your button whenever u change instance, not a deal breaker but can be annoying if u forgot to re-bind it when entering a map (not fixed since 0.3)
- Can be expensive as it use some same uniques as the meta spark comet build
Build Variants
This patch we have some new improvements for this build, also lost some perks from last patch. The stand out stuffs are:
-
The Covenant body armor gives insane qol on recovery, especially when paired with a well cultivated
Soul Tether for almost infinite recovery, without having to play as a
Blood Mage
- There're 2 new reduced duration nodes on the skill tree, only 4% each, boosted to 6% with
Hulking Form, result in total of 92% reduced skill duration from skill tree with
Titan. This allow us to completely drop Compressed Duration II and Swift Affliction III for 2 more support gem slot just for dmg. Those 2 support gems gave absolutely zero dmg, but we must used them to reach the required duration threshold to feel good with
His Scattering Calamity
-
The Vertex (equipment) with Cultivation can give 2-4 all skill levels, it's just THE BEST helmet in the game to boost your dmg`
Equipment

IMPORTANT:
Unborn Lich Staff for some reason is currently unavailable, so please read the description for the staff instead:
His Scattering Calamity level 20 is ideal in end game for 6L
Other stats I'm using:
- Increased elemental damage
- Spirit
- Chance for spell skills to fire 2 additional projectiles
Runes: Ideally +1 all spells, and 25% chance to fire additional projectiles. If poor, just replace +1 with spelldmg/crit/extra dmg as...
Unique Jewels:
-
Heart of the Well with % leech is instant is highly recommended, other stats depend on your budget, any caster crit favor stats is good
-
From Nothing around
Resonance is EXTREMELY GOOD, Almost mandatory for the build as it give access to the best bunch of crit nodes on the skill tree without having to travel
-
Prism of Belief is VERY VERY OPTIONAL. I happen to have a +3
Temporal Chains one so I'm using it (current price 5-6div), but I do think
Time of Need +3 will probably be best choice for my current setup. It feels really good with almost no duration, removing all curses and ailments EVERY 0.5s while also healing us for quite a lot.
Skill Gems
Support Gem Requirements:
Str 15
Dex 30
Int 55
Feast of Flesh
His Scattering Calamity
Life Remnants
Sigil of Power
Blasphemy
Time of Need
Cast on Critical

Passive Tree
SUPER UBER IMPORTANT:
Make sure you put the Unborn Lich staff on Weapon set 1 (with reduced duration nodes), and
Chiming Staff on weapon set 2 (with increased duration nodes), or else it will completely screw up the build.
How it Plays
Press
His Scattering Calamity when u want to kill shits, and
Sigil of Power before bosses to boost the dmg. This blue circle last for 51 seconds with my current setup btw, which is like 3 boss fights in length xD
How it Works
His Scattering Calamity function kinda like
Ember Fusillade, we need to reduce skill duration as much as possible to reduce/remove the hover period, preventing the skill to fire and deals dmg.
Titan is able to have 92% reduced duration just from the skill tree this patch, which removed the need to use 2 wasted support gem slot for Compressed Duration II and Swift Affliction III entirely.
Changelog
Sadly
His Scattering Calamity is completely killed in patch 0.4, so this build is nothing more than a good memory now
Apparently
His Scattering Calamity isn't killed, it's well alive and seems even stronger this patch. Now I'm just sharing my in-game character here, I don't think it's well optimized at all, but it function well, was able to down T3 Xesht and some semi juiced maps with abyss (actually do Abyss extremely well with Electrocute support gem, lock everything immediately). But there should be way more optimized setup for this build, pushing 500k-800k tooltip (mine is 135k only btw), but it also require super damn rare version of the Unborn Lich Staff with level 20
His Scattering Calamity, and ele dmg, along with spell dmg per 100 mana/life for scaling, I do think Mana scaling is better this patch btw.
