Build Overview

THIS BUILD STILL WORKS IN 0.5 AND IS A BEAST!
CHECK MONK MARTIAL ARTIST VERSION HERE

Cyclone Temu version is making an appearance in PoE 2 in the form of Whirling Assault and it is INSANE!
Titan for Hulking Form which of course buffs AoE nodes for FULL SCREEN Clear and Crushing Impacts that is just ridiculous with other stun modifiers and damage overall.

AVOID Dreaming Quarterstaff AS THIS HAS 0% CRIT CHANCE

0.5 PATCH NOTES RECAP FOR THIS SETUP:
Tempest Bell - can be ancestrally boosted and have maximum 3 is just a wild buff
Whirling Assault - more attack speed from quality changed to increased (multiplicative vs additive) = very slight nerf
Quarterstaff weapon base range increased
THIS MEANS WE WILL FEAST

Armor Stacking

Hands down the best ascendancy to do so because we have yet again Hulking Form which buffs small armor nodes and THEN we have Sturdy Metal which goes crazy with Stone Skin. Ancient Aegis is another honorable mention but it is pretty far to path there.
Getting extra % armor from body armor prefix on Amulet is another banger stacked with the rest. Missing Heart of the Well with that affix and that could send us probably close to 80 THOUSAND armor which is wild. Currently running 70k Armor in Maps.

The Brass Dome is the absolute KING. All this stacked with Scavenged Plating which we get through Armour Break III or Uul-Netol's Embrace.

Surrounded is BACK

Yes we are using Constricting Command even with the nerfs it is still totally BROKEN as we can ignore very high mana usage per Whirling Assault (Defy II). Besides other cracked % attack damage increase nodes we get extra rolling distance which helps in mapping and massive armor nodes.

Charge Generation

While leveling once you get a Talisman you prime enemies for a Stun with Wind Blast (Brink I is amazing quality of life) and then use Wing Blast you generate Power Charges for Falling Thunder MAXIMUM Damage.

Mantra of Destruction with Ailith's Chimes takes care of Power Charge generation for that juicy multiplicative crit from Charge Regulation AND Charged Staff.
For Frenzy charges we use Valako's Roar and Endurance Charges we can later path to Cranial Impact which is quite close as multiplicative armor is insane for maps.

CAMPAIGN REWARDS

Act 3 (venom) - stun threshold

Act 4 (totems) - resistances

Interlude II (pillars) - resistances

WEAPON SETS

We don't need two weapons all you have to do is just RIGHT click the Icon right above your weapon (I or II) which will LOCK the same weapon for both weapon sets. After that you just manually weapon swap for bosses. We run ALL skills for both weapon sets this way.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Speed
  • Damage
  • Very Tanky
  • Style
  • Off-meta working like Meta and it's not even expensive
  • Literally nothing

I talk about specific gear in the video but weapon was self crafted and it cost me around 6 div. You will see it's an overkill as everything dies within seconds so no need for such a beast weapon.

STATS

Armor - The Brass Dome

Gloves - life, armor, flat damage - attack speed, crit damage/resists, melee skills

Boots - movement speed, life, armor - resists, increased socket effect ideally

Helm - Constricting Command

Rings - flat damage (phys/lightning to apply Shock 20% damage), life - resists, attributes

Amulet - armor, global defences/spirit, life - crit chance/damage, melee skills, resists

Weapon - phys %, flat phys, gain % extra phys - melee skills, crit chance, attack speed

Belt - life, armor, mana - resists, strength - Headhunter would be the best choice if you can figure out resists elsewhere

JEWELS

Controlled Metamorphosis you want MEDIUM radius.

Prism of Belief with +3 Whirling Assault is best in slot but super expensive/hard to get.

If you don't have Uul-Netol's Embrace use Armour Break III instead as it does the same job except less damage.

ONE SHOTTING BOSSES

Falling Thunder would obliterate ANY boss with the power charges we get from Mantra of Destruction as it's damage is ALL multiplicative. Especially if you slam Tempest Bell with it.

Hand of Chayula with Sniper's Mark for that extra damage also works AND it gives skill speed Charge Regulation so even for mapping. ALWAYS SOCKET Sniper's Mark FIRST SO YOU CAN SLOT IN MARK SUPPORT GEMS!

Cranial Impact is a very good node if you want more defences through Charge Regulation

Ancient Aegis is another banger for stacking armor.

RED LINES = Weapon Set 1 - pure damage for bossing single target

GREEN LINES = Weapon Set 2 - AoE for mapping

Atlas Tree

Atlas is made for juicy map for juicy loot.

How it Plays

LEVELING

1. Quarterstaff Strike - use for rage gen or when out of mana - it might deal more damage than 2. early on

2. Wind Blast - your AoE clear and Stun builder on Bosses for 3., pairs well with Herald of Ash

3. Wing Blast - Power Charge generator for 4.

4. Falling Thunder - massive Single Target damage

5. Rend - extra damage buff

6. Staggering Palm - explode enemies after 2.
- changed for Siphoning Strike once you get the skill gem to rotate with 4. back and forth on bosses for easy kills

7. Devour - easy power charges

LEVELING 41 - ENDGAME

1. Whirling Assault - one button to it all

2. Mantra of Destruction - power charge generation and fat extra damage buff

3. Tempest Bell - for tough Rares and Bosses

4. Charged Staff - not needed but it's extra damage buff

5. Falling Thunder - this DELETES any bosses as it's damage per Power Charge is multiplicative

So 1. generates Combos for 2. which generates Power Charges for 5. and one shots.

From this point getting combos will be much easier as WA is a Strike skill so using Mantra of Destruction and Tempest Bell is much faster.
