Gemling LegionnaireSuper fast Whirling Slash variant of Glacial Bolt. Move around with Whirling Slash, which automatically breaks all your Glacial Bolt ice crystals with Biting Frost II/Morrigan's Insight. You end up going super fast and getting greatly increased consistency on your ice crystal explosions. Because Whirling Slash is melee and can generate rage, you can avoid going Eternal Rage like a standard crossbow build, and invest the spirit into way better reservation skills (Scavenged Plating and Blasphemy + Temporal Chains).

FAQ -
1. AVOID SURPASSING CHANCE FOR EXTRA PROJECTILE MOD ON GLOVES AT ALL COSTS. It is bugged - the second projectile comes out separately, does not fire extra ice crystals, and adds a significant delay.
2. If you're having trouble equipping the spear after removing the Talisman because it says you need to remove Pounce, when you replace the Talisman with the Spear, drag the Spear to the offhand (shield/sceptre) slot instead of the main slot.
3. If your Glacial Bolt feels sluggish after Whirl, you just need more attack speed. It smooths out as you grab more of it. Reload speed% is decent when you're at lower attack speeds and not super important at higher attack speeds, as its contribution to your Reload timer is 1:1 with attack speed. 10% AS scales it the same way as 10% reload speed. So early on it's not a bad stat to grab to smooth things over, but later once you have all the requisite attack speed sources (onslaught, jewels, time-lost, Mageblood, Rite of Passage Wolf, tree, etc) you don't really need any crossbow reload speed anymore.
