Spear is
The Ordained it just rolls with disgustingly high base crit and very good DPS. For a rare spear to be better it costs well over 300 divines. Try to get one with 11.5+ crit chance and roughly 600+ DPS. They are fairly inexpensive, a 15div one is more than enough to annihilate the entire game
For your second spear just grab a 10-15D
Skysliver with 2.35+ Attacks Per Second. If you have a lot of money you can try to find a
Soaring Spear with really high Attacks Per Second
The chest is
Forgotten Warden, you want high evasion / ES. 80+ deflection per missing ES.
My
Mageblood roll is Silver, Quicksilver, Jade, Bismuth, however the silver here is pretty much useless if you have enough attack speed pressing
Whirling Slash is literally faster than running. If I were to get a new
Mageblood I would go for Silver>Jade>Bismuth>Silver x2 (or x2 of any of the others) Gold & Diamond are also good options but unnecessary IMO
You want your gloves to have Crit Damage (converts to crit chance) > Dexterity (converts to extra proj) > Attack Speed (converts to Onslaught) > Flat Cold > Flat Phys > Flat Lightning > Flat evasion/es/armour. The base type of the gloves is irrelevant as it will be converted via
Way of the Stonefist to a hybrid base regardless.
I anointed
Thaumaturgic Generator because it drastically helps with the consistency of Frenzy Charges. On my helmet I have
The Frenzied Bear anointed but I honestly would recommend
Savagery as it's very good for defense and an additional Frenzy charge does help out. Alternatively
Fervour is good too.
For your amulet prioritize getting Trinity + 3 levels of projectile skills. The rest of the stats are preference, evasion/ES is solid, resistances are good, attributes make gearing easier, and rarity is just privileged.
My boots don't have movement speed because I exclusively move with
Whirling Assault, if you don't have a lot of attack speed you still want move speed on your boots.
You can check your attack speed by clicking on your whirling assault skill with the correct spear out, and checking your attack time. For reference mine is 0.12 with 8.75 APS in town. In combat mine goes down to 0.1. Attack speed for this skill functions in breakpoints, so any attack speed increase you get between 0.12 and 0.11 does nothing if it doesn't reduce the number to the next breakpoint. For most of you I would recommend trying to reach .12 or .11 in combat, .1 requires a lot of investment.
