Build Overview

This is a full wyvern Build that has some of the best endgame map clear ability and huge endgame damage that clears endgame bosses. The build doesn't have any super expensive uniques, and doesn't require any expensive jewels. The only requirement to fully make this work, you will to finish your ascendancy 8/8 as Oracle.

Map Clearing (Speed Farming):

In order to speed farm with this build, we build heavily into ice abilities, so that we can pop the entire screen with one ability. We combine the following 3 things to clear the entire screen instantly:

  • Herald of Ice - This ability causes ice to chill all enemies around us when we attack.
  • Polcirkeln - this very cheap ring instantly shatters those chilled enemies as if they were frozen.
  • Combined with Embitter gem within Rend we gain extra cold damage on attacks to make sure this procs more often

Boss Damage:

For bosses wyvern has always been the absolute GOAT for melting bosses.

  • Flame Breath throws stacking ignite, lighting, and fire damage for huge single target burst. Consuming a power charge makes this stronger, and having high rage increases our time in this dragon breath form. And we have multiple ways to generate both of these.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • HUGE Boss damage on bosses
  • Screen Clearing Damage
  • FUN dragon playstyle
  • Multiple of buffs to maintain
  • Slower movement than Wolf

Gaining Damage:

Okay this is a FULL elemental damage build, and our main attack being Rend has the "attack" tag, so those are the main ways to gain damage.

Elemental Damage gain be gained on our Ring, Gloves and Talisman in the following ways, and as we are scaling "Elemental Damage", is doesn't matter what element we gain.

  • Adds Cold Damage
  • Adds Fire Damage
  • Adds Lightning Damage

Additionally we want to get "levels to attack skills" on our talisman as this massively increases our damage.

Uniques:

NEEDED:

  • Polcirkeln Ring is a mandatory item, this is needed for screen wide map clearing.

Optional:

  • Voll's Protector Can be used to generate power charges if you would rather have this be automatic rather than manually casting Devour.
  • Headhunter is the most busted belt in the game. Makes farming 10x faster, but is very expensive, 45 div at the time of writing this, so get this if you can afford it. Always will leave you needing to get more resistances from other places.

Resistances:

  • Cap your resistances to 75%, we don't use many uniques so this is easy to do. You can get upto 18% to all elemental resistances from ring and amulet each, which will help a lot.

Armour Type

We run this as armour and energy shield hybrid. We gain a TON extra bonuses from being on the druid side of the passive tree. So it makes sense to use armour/ES gear.

  • Natural Essence
  • Bastion of the Forest
  • Spiral into Depression
  • Ancient Aegis

However you want to make sure you only run an energy shield helmet due to the passive node Illuminated Crown, which gives us 70% more ES from our helmet

Talisman Offhand Tech:

This comes from the key passive Lord of the Wilds, this lets us equip a talisman in our off hand for free. We have to give up spirit to use this, BUT the talisman also gives us more spirit, and we can also throw in a Rabbit Idol for 10% more spirit. so it isn't so bad. But why bother with this?

  1. Firstly the talisman is a stat stick, giving us more mana, more int etc.
  2. Because of The Unseen Path, picking up Lord of the Wilds lets us grab additional nodes around it.
  3. By using an Omen Sceptre, we gain Malice letting us inflict critical weakness.

Pounce:

We place the Freezing Mark gem in here so that we freeze enemies we pounce on, rather than summon the wolf pets

There is a combo between Culmination II and Ailith's Chimes support gems, that mean we generate combo points, and then we use them we will generate a power charge.

How it Works

Power Charges:

Power charges give us a ton more damage from our abilities, basically empowering them and giving new abilities, such as giving extra lightning damage to Flame Breath or Rend. And here is how we generate these charges:

  • Devour a corpse or low hp enemy
  • The combo of support gems Culmination II and Ailith's Chimes let us generate it from our pounce.
