Blood Mage Cast Speed Ring Crafting Guide - PoE 2 0.3

This guide will take you through the process of creating a Cast Speed Ring with High Life and Resistances. I have been using a similar Ring on my Reap Blood Mage Build

What You'll Need

• 1-4x Item Level 82 Pearl Ring with Tier 1 (21-24%) increased Cast Speed
• 1-4x Item Level 82 Pearl Ring with Tier 1 (14-16%) to All Elemental Resistances
• 1-4x Omen of Recombination
• Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
• Omen of Dextral Exaltation
• Omen of Greater Exaltation
• Several Omen of Sinistral Crystallisation
• Several Omen of Abyssal Echoes
• Several Perfect Essence of the Mind
• Several Essence of the Abyss
• Several Preserved Collarbones
• 2x Greater/Perfect Exalted Orb

Step 1: Recombination

In the first step, we recombine an Item Level 82 Pearl Ring with Tier 1 Cast Speed with a similar Ring with Tier 1 to All Elemental Resistances. This gives us a 13.6% chance of Success, which is increased when combined with an Omen of Recombination (likely around a 25% chance).

To Save Currency: you can use Rings that aren't Item Level 82, but this cuts out the possibility of hitting Tier 1 Resistance in the next step

• Activate an Omen of Recombination
• Click the Tier 1 to All Elemental Resistances mod one Ring 1, and Tier 1 Cast Speed on the other Ring
• Recombine
• Repeat until Successful

Step 2: Getting a Third Good Suffix

In the next step, we want to get another Resistance modifier. This is fairly straightforward

• Activate an Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
• Activate an Omen of Dextral Exaltation
• Use a Perfect or Greater Exalted Orb on the Ring

The current Tags that the Homogenising Exalt Omen allows us to hit are:

• Elemental, Fire, Cold, Lightning, Resistance, Caster and Speed

This means we can ONLY hit another Resistance modifier

• Greater Exalted Orb: Tier 5+ Resistance (Cold/Fire/Light/Chaos)
• Perfect Exalted Orb: Tier 3+ Resistance (Fire/Light/Chaos) or Tier 4+ Cold Resistance

Step 3: Getting Life

Next, we need to try to get Life. We're going to do this by rerolling a Desecrated mod repeatedly until we get what we need with a pretty clever system

• Apply a Preserved Collarbone
• Activate an Omen of Abyssal Echoes
• Take the Ring to the Well of Souls
• Take any Tier 1-2 to Maximum Life if you see it, otherwise skip to Step 4 (you could take a lower Tier of Life if you're on a budget)

Step 4: Re-Desecrating for Maximum Life

If you don't reveal Maximum Life, we can try again safely without making use of an expensive Omen of Light

• Activate an Omen of Sinistral Crystallisation
• Apply a Perfect Essence of the The Mind
• This will remove the Desecrated Modifier and add 4-6% increased Maximum Mana
• Activate an Omen of Sinistral Crystallisation
• Apply an Essence of the Abyss (you might have to click it a few times until it works - it might try to add a Mark of the Abyss Suffix, but it doesn't have space, so it will fail. Just click again til it works)
• Apply a Preserved Collabone and Omen of Abyssal Echoes and Reveal

Repeat this above process until you reveal a high tier of Maximum Life. This might take quite a few attempts as the weight of any Tier of Life is 1000 out of total of 71500. There are also some named-Prefixes (Kurgal/Amanamu/Ulaman) we could hit, reducing the odds. Luckily, with an Omen of Light, we get 6 modifiers per attempt meaning that hitting Tier 1-3 of Life isn't too hard.

How Does This Work?

We are able to replace the bad Revealed Desecrated Modifier with the Essence of the Mind mod, and then replace that with Mark of the Abyss from the Essence of the Abyss. By doing this with Omens of Sinistral Crystallisation, we are able to repeatedly fish for a desirable Desecrated Prefix for a much lower cost than by using Omens of Light. This method can be applied to any craft where you have either the Prefixes or Suffixes completed with no useful mods of the other half (Prefix or Suffix), and if there is a Perfect Essence that is able to replace the bad Desecrated modifier

Step 5: Finishing the Prefixes

There's not much else we can do now - we have the most important modifiers we need and the only other useful mod is increased Rarity of Items Found or maybe Mana or an #% increased Elemental Damage modifier.

• Activate an Omen of Greater Exaltation
• Apply a Greater/Perfect Exalted Orb

It's likely you won't get anything too useful, but maybe you'll hit the jackpot and hit Rarity

After that, we can add Catalyst Quality of whichever type we like.

• If we want more Resistances, apply the type that increases the Elemental Resistance type we have (in the case below, this would be Fire) as this would increase both that Resistance and the All Elemental Resistance Modifier
• For increased Cast Speed, use Sibilant Catalysts
• For increased Life, use Flesh Catalysts
