Build Overview

Welcome to my leveling guide for Ice Shot Witchunter. This will be a detailed leveling guide that can transition into the end game.

Keep in mind this is a Ice Shot build but seeing that it is only available at level 31. You will need to either level with Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod Or Poisonburst Arrow, Escape Shot and Freezing Salvo

For the purpose of this build we will be going the latter of the options but check out Fubgun if you perfer a lightning arrow version. Just keep in mind Lightning was once again nerfed this patch so you do run the risk of being weaker than previous iterations.

Paste this regex in your vendor to highlight key items for this build: "!cros|crud" "s: (am|ri|be|bow)|ovem|[egdl] to.at"

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Amazing Single Target
  • Great Mobility
  • Great AoE
  • Very Smooth Leveling
  • Cheap Build
  • Bow adjacent (Can be costly to buy better bows later)

Bow: In Act 1, it is very important to aim for a bow that gives really solid flat damage. Generally speaking, you don't want to invest any higher-rarity resources like Alchemy Orbs, Artificer Orbs, Exalted Orbs, or Regal Orbs. The ideal base would be a Warden Bow. These bows can drop around level 11, or you can find them at vendors.

Quiver: Try to find plus levels and flat damage!

Flask: Make sure you're constantly upgrading them! Here are the level start up for new flask [10, 16, 23, 30, 40, 50 and 60].

Boots: What you're looking for is any form of movement speed and resistances ideally cold resistance early or lightning resistance .

General Gear Tips: Generally speaking, you're looking for flat damage on gloves, weapons, and rings. When it comes to armor, ideally you want to go with an evasion armor base, but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things as long as you have good HP, respectable armor and evasion or energy shield, and solid coverage of resistances.

Also, constantly check the vendor early on every 2 levels, give or take, as their inventory refreshes and you could possibly find some of the gear mentioned above.

Currency/Crafting Tips: Throughout the campaign, at all times, you're selling rares unless they're needed for gear upgrades. Any time you see quality gear or gear with sockets, you want to break those down for Artificer Orbs or other quality-adjacent currency so that once you get to the later acts, you can use those resources for gear progression. Gold is used very heavily for gambling, and once you finally get something of value, you can use your orbs and quality currency to really push your weapons and gear to an appropriate level.

Gem Order:

Poisonburst Arrow - Get this first It is lowest priority in terms of upgrading in adding support should you add a support add Escalating Poison. But this should be extra support you have leftover

Escape Shot - You should be able to get escape shot in the first area with Poisonburst Arrow. This is your highest priority skill until Snipe

Snipe & Freezing Salvo - These two are your next priority and honestly depending on how fast you move throughout the game will be determining which one you get first. If you feel like you're freezing bosses effectively enough with Escape Shot then prioritize Snipe. Otherwise get Freezing Salvo First.

Barrage & Ice-Tipped Arrows - You should be able to get both of these before facing off against Count Geonor. If you have no choice get Ice-Tipped Arrows first.
