After the campaign, PoE 2 puts you into the middle of nowhere, with a lot of questline, objectives that distract you from what you should actually be doing. Should you want to progress fast and start making currency the proper way, you want to understand the fundamental on the atlas progression.

Atlas Basics
Map/Waystone Tier
You start at Tier 1 (T1) map, and slowly works your way toward Tier 15 (T15) map. Using Vaal Orb to corrupt a T15 map has an outcome of turning the map to T16.
Here are the breakpoint for maps, for map completion, kill the boss of the maps at any rarity.
White: T1 ➤ T5
Yellow: T6 ➤ T10
Red: T11 ➤ T16
Eventually, some of the questlines will require you to run maps in the Yellow and Red tier, if you want to run faster and easier map, you can purchase some T6, T11 maps from Doryani.
ALWAYS RUN THE HIGHEST TIER OF MAP IF YOU CAN!
Map Running Strategy
The strategy to run map these map in the early game is BOSS RUSH. This is because we're lacking Atlas Points, so any mechanics that we do is less effective, that and plus we won't have tablets as well, so always rush straight to the boss and ignore all the league mechanics(beside Essence, which doesn't take that much time)
Efficiently Going Up in Map Tier & Sustain Map
POWERFUL MAP BOSS can drop Waystone(s) that are one Tier higher. Every maps will have a boss, and maps with the skull icon will have a POWERFUL MAP BOSS.
Running and pathing efficiently
Map should be run on magic (use Orb of Augmentation & Orb of Transmutation)
Powerful Map Boss map should be run on rare
Pathing map can be lower tier map
Map with Powerful Map Boss should always be run with highest tier map you have
Reforging Map
Maps can be reforge 3 to 1 to go up in tier, this also means you can buy maps from Doryani and reforge them to go up in tier even faster. This is recommended for people that have strong league start build that can clear map higher in tier.
To the Fortress
Mission Start: To the Fortress
After campaign, you're put into the middle of nowhere, and here, we start our objectives. I design this guide mission by mission to help you get to the Endgame fast. Just follow along!! All the map should be run Magic only, and boss rush to save time!
The goal is to beeline to Fortress, where you'll be getting the main Atlas Passive Points
Reach Hilda's Campsite, clear the 1st Great Beast ➤ Put point into Mighty Prey, for more Powerful Map Bosses
Reach Precursor Tower, clear the map and unlock the Fortress Scene
Reach Ancient Gateway
Arbiter Questline
Mission Start: Reach the Burning Monolith
Unlocking the gate, give you access to the outer Fortress, beeline straight to the Burning Monolith, and go through as many Powerful Map Bosses nodes as possible (use highest Waystone tier on those maps).
You'll start getting Atlas Passive Points in this area, here's the order of nodes you want to take, we focus on Quantity of Waystones drop by Map Bosses. (I pick Essence because its the shortest path up, give currency, and fast to clear in maps, but you can go with Shrine for player power)
Reach the burning Monolith You'll see that we are missing 2 fragments here, which we'll have to clear 2 mini Citadels to get. So go out, and continue the quest. Remember to path efficiently through the Powerful Map Boss maps.
Reach Eastern Gateway You need a Tier 5 or higher map, which you should have at this point. If not, you can try reforging. Fight this boss and unlock the inner eastern area of the Fortress.
Reach Western Gateway Do the same thing over here, then continue to the inner Fortress.
Reach Eastern Enigma You need a Tier 10 or higher map for this area. Reforging if needed, but if you've been following my advice, then you should be in red map territory by now. You should get the Weathered Crisis Fragment here after fighting the boss.
Reach Western Enigma Do the samething for the Ancient Crisis Fragment.
Head back to the Burning Monolith and clear TheArbiter of Ash The boss have about 4.2 million HP, which can be difficult. You have unlimited attempt, and the boss is mechanically heavy, so most league starter should be able to clear him at this point without issue. Make sure you're prepare by upgrading your gear though so you don't waste time here.
Arbiter of Divinity Questline
Mission Start: Travel to the Origin Tower
This is where you'll be around Red Tier Map, and to progress, you want to have a stronger character, so we'll be doing some detour and farming if neccessary.
We'll beeline hugging the right side of the Atlas Tree, and take all these nodes here. When in doubt, pick Effectiveness over Rarity but it won't matter much until you actually juice maps. There are some nodes which should not be taken like Survival of the Fittest, Man Trap, or the small nodes that give gold quantity on the left side. More details in the full Atlas Tree below.
Optional Power-Up: Clear 4th Trial of Chaos or Trial of Sekkhema for 4th Ascendancy points To prepare for the Arbiter of Divinity fight, you do want this, 3rd and 4th ascendancy points usually give 30-40% more damage and is very much needed.
Optional Power-Up: Clear Delirium Questline for unlocking Annointment Go to the Withered Willow, and do the delirium questline by clearing maps, eventually you'll unlock Annointment for Amulet. If your build benefits from cheap annointment early game, you can do this. Don't go for expensive annointment because you'll probably replace your amulet later anyway.
Travel to the Origin Tower Speak with Doryani next to the Origin Engine to unlock the Halls.
Travel to Patriarch Hall Fight the boss here and get your Origin Spark.
Travel to Matriarch Hall Do the samething, and you get the Origin Cradleafter the boss.
Take down The Arbiter of Divinity The Arbiter of Divinity fight has 2 phases, also is unlimited attempt on the questline here. Keep in mind he has 45% lightning resistance so bring exposure and curse to fight him if you're playing a Lightning Damage build. Other than that, we are 80% done here.
Unlocking All Atlas Points
In 0.5.5, your 2nd clear of the Arbiter of Divinity will unlock all the Atlas, so your only goal here is to rush to both Matriarch and Patriarch Hall and clear the boss for Origin Spark and Origin Cradle.
These fights are also consider to be harder than the previous quest version so keep that in mind.
Clear the Matriarch Hall Sometimes, you can also find more than 1 Origin Cradle or Spark, run Waystone with high Waystones drop chance (don't waste your tablet since we haven't fully unlock Atlas Points)
Clear the Patriarch Hall Sometimes, you can also find more than 1 Origin Cradle or Spark, run Waystone with high Waystones drop chance (don't waste your tablet since we haven't fully unlock Atlas Points)
Clear the Arbiter of Divinity Go back to the Hall of Origin and fight Arbiter for the 2nd time (also harder). After this, you should unlock all your Atlas Points! From here, you want to clear your master missions, and unlock league mechanics to farm them for Currency. Congratulations, you are now in the Endgame of PoE 2.
Spec all points into your Atlas except these Survival of the Fittest - only bad if you farming for Omen of Light, because it combines rares. Man Trap - Bug nodes 3 Small Node that gives Gold Quantity - minimal impact on currency conversation (unsure)
Master's Mission
Hilda
Go to Hilda's Campsite, it should be relatively close to your starting area, and activate her questline, then you just need to chase down4Great Beasts to get all the points.
Doryani
Travel and clear Corrupted Nexus 3 times, and then clear the Immutable Fury questline to unlock all 4 points from Doryani's Science. It should spawn close to the 3rd Nexus.
Jado
Complete 4Anomaly's Map to unlock 4 points. To get access into the Anomaly Maps, you need to complete adjacent maps to the Anomaly Maps.
League Mechanics
I'll list the Zone for the League Mechanics questline. Go and complete the quest by clearing maps, bosses and unlock all the mechanic atlas passives. Then, you can follow a strategy to farm currency.
Note:If you don't plan on farming any strategy, don't feel like you need to clear the mechanic yet.
At this points, you should be on T15 maps. Don't use tablet, run your maps Rare to sustain and build up a map pool to run a strategy later.
