Overview

Daze is a Debuff in Path of Exile 2.

Basic Mechanics

What is Daze?

Daze is a temporary Debuff that makes an entity take 50% more Stun Buildup. The extra Stun Buildup from this Debuff is multiplicative with the inherent Stun Buildup multipliers from Melee Damage and Physical Damage, making it a very potent Debuff to cause large Stun Buildup when paired with those Damage types.

Duration of Daze

The default Duration of a Daze Debuff is 8 seconds. Some modifiers may apply Daze with a specified Duration, for example the Overextend Support Gem applies Daze on you for 5 seconds whenever you Critically Hit with the supported Skill.

The Daze Debuff does not stack, and a new instance of Daze will replace any existing Daze Debuff if it has a longer Duration.

Chance to Daze

Inflicting Daze on a target requires a modifier that either enables Daze application directly such as a Warcry Skill linked to Dazing Cry, or provides chance to Daze, for example Fortified Hammer.

Interactions

Broken Stance

Broken Stance is another temporary Debuff that's related to Daze, as it's inflicted by Vaulting Impact when Hitting a Dazed enemy. Broken Stance stores 5% of the pre-Mitigation Physical Hit Damage of the Vaulting Impact that caused it, adding that Damage as unscalable Physical Damage to subsequent Attack Hits against the target.

Note: enemies with Broken Stance cannot be Dazed.
