How to Become an Abyssal Lich

The Abyssal Lich is a hidden Ascendancy Class that's accessible exclusively as part of the Abyss mechanic.

To become an Abyssal Lich, you'll need the following:

  • A Witch character that's already ascended into the Lich Ascendancy
  • Access to the Well of Souls (first discovered in Act 2, then via Waypoint fast travel)
  • Kulemak's Invitation (looted from defeated Abyss Unique bosses or purchased via the Currency Exchange)

Once you have all of the requirements fulfilled, you'll be able to jump into the Well of Souls and gain access to the Black Cathedral. After defeating the Vessel of Kulemak, find the urn with the text 'Embrace Abyssal Power?' to be able to freely switch between the normal Lich and the Abyssal Lich Ascendancies.

Abyssal Lich Passives

The Abyssal Lich is a modified version of the existing Lich Ascendancy for the Witch. Some of the normal Lich Passives remain, but others have been replaced with new ones!
