Endgame Changes in PoE 2 0.5 Return of the Ancients

In Path of Exile 2 0.5 Return of the Ancients, a plethora of endgame changes are being made to improve the post-campaign experience. These changes include an entirely reworked Atlas progression, reworked Atlas Passive Trees and brand new quest lines for every existing mechanic in the game. On top of this, several new Pinnacle Bosses, as well as Masters of the Atlas are being added to provide new challenges for high-level players

Atlas Rework

When players enter PoE 2's new 0.5 endgame, the familiar Infinite Atlas will now have several points of interest in specific locations. In each direction, players will find sections of the Atlas that are part of a questline for all existing mechanics (Breach, Delirium, Abyss, Expedition, Ritual), as well as the new Fortress that can be completed to unlock Atlas Passive Points. Every league mechanic has also been reworked with new Pinnacle Bosses, and the new endgame also includes 30 new Map Areas for players to discover

The new Expedition Endgame takes players through a series of island Maps in an attempt to find and assist Gwennen in her hunt for a new powerful Pinnacle boss

The Origins of Divinity Questline will allow players to discover one of the new 15 Atlas Pinnacle Bosses added in Return of the Ancients

Atlas Passive Tree Rework

The Atlas Passive Tree has has a massive overhaul, now with over 200 Points, all of which can be allocated and tweaked to fit every player's playstyle. Existing mechanics have also had their Passive Trees reworked with many more points to choose from. These passive points will be unlocked as players progress through the new questlines for each and every mechanic

Atlas Masters

To further customise your endgame experience, three Atlas Masters are being added to the game. Each Master has their own Passive Skill Tree with points that can be freely allocated and changed to affect bonuses and challenges in the endgame

All of these changes should make for an extensive endgame with massive customisation that allows players to enjoy the post-campaign experience on a much deeper level
