Path of Exile 2's The Third Edict update will be making vast changes to the Passive Skill Tree, improving options for many different builds and classes.

One of GGG's goals in patch 0.3 is to spice up the Passive Skill Tree to offer more interesting options, and more options in general.

The Passive Tree update adds many more nodes to select
In the Third Edict update, there will be more than 100 new Notables added to the Passive Skill Tree, with approximately 20 added per class location, and additional smaller clusters too. As a result, there's a lot less empty spaces on the Passive Skill Tree, with many more choices to consider as you path through.
Another focus was to address the lack of interesting, build-specific options on the Passive Skill Tree. Many of the new Notables will target niche mechanics, allowing you to invest more into making your unique build.

The Molten One's Gift, located in the Warrior area
The Molten One's Gift is a great example, allowing you to utilise Armour Break as a mechanic to bolster your Fire Damage.

Crystallised Immunities, located in the Mercenary area
Another new Notable is Crystallised Immunities, which takes on the theming of the Gemling Legionnaire to provide an immunity to an Elemental Ailment based on which Support Gem colour makes up the majority across all of your Skill sockets.

Sanguimantic Rituals, located in the Witch area
Sanguimantic RItuals provides a Keystone-like effect, making the Arcane Surge Buff grant you more Life Regeneration Rate instead of Mana Regeneration Rate, enabling Life based builds in a new way.

Archon of the Storm, located in the Sorceress area
Archon of the Storm makes up one of several new 'Archon' options, which allow you to convert all of your Elemental Damage to a specific Elemental type once a specific condition is met.

The Cunning Fox, located in the Mercenary area
One extremely strong new Notable that's being added in patch 0.3 is The Cunning Fox, which simply adds 5% to the Quality stat of all of your Skills, presumably also including Ascendancy Skills.
