Build Overview

being "Surrounded" now ALWAYS requires at least 1 nearby enemy, even with a "5 fewer"Constricting Command - this is a slight nerf to clearspeed but irrelevant for single target

also, all of the "%reduced move speed penalty while moving" nodes are being nerfed (Spray and Pray, Freedom of Movement, etc) but new clusters are being added to compensate. furthermore, pretty much ALL of the affixes on gear of that stat are being removed entirely.

finally, Voltaic Mark no longer provides shock magnitude, lowering our single target damage a bit (around 15%)

all-in-all, I expect the build to be about 15-20% weaker AND slower

I will update things more, once the patch goes live.

you do NOT need to level your auras to their max level - each additional level increases their stat requirements while, often, not providing too much of an overall power increase to be worth it.

so long as you have enough str/dex to max Galvanic Shards and Shockburst Rounds, you'll be fine.

How it Plays

Galvanic Shards shocks things and clears trash w/Zealous Inquisition

you should TAP FIRE Galvanic Shards (do not hold the hotkey), as it essentially removes the movement speed penalty of firing while moving while retaining basically 100% of the attack speed.

Shockburst Rounds for single target (MUST BE SHOCKED!)

(v1) use Elemental Weakness for tanky things

(v2) open with Plasma Blast on bosses for big dmg + shock

How it Works

Galvanic Shards = shock + clear (with Zealous Inquisition)

shock = more dmg and enables Shockburst Rounds single target

that's it!

IF YOU'RE STUCK

1) buy a better weapon
500+dps (PHYS / LIGHTNING ONLY! NO FIRE / COLD!)
+3 proj skills (pref higher obv)

2) buy rings with flat dmg (also gloves)
+phys or +lightning
remember to catalyze! (Uul-Netol / Esh)

3) (v1) make sure you're using Elemental Weakness on tanky foes

if you're still not doing enough damage, double-check your gem sockets and passive tree to ensure you're running the most-optimal setup for your current level.

as for dying:

1) buy a better body armor / (v1 build) helmet
these two slots have the highest defensive roll values

2) add 20% quality all pieces of gear (Armorer's Scraps)
this increases the evasion / energy shield values by 1.2x

if you're sitting around 3k combined life + energy shield, you should be fine (but the more, the merrier!)

you may need to go through the "upgrade" process a couple of times for different progression stages. as you accumulate more currency, be prepared to spend it for a better overall experience!
