Tri-Elemental Leveling Build Guide

This is a leveling build guide to help you reach end game faster and easier with less deaths.

This build can be played with any ascendancy pathfinder or deadeye and you can take this build to endgame.

This a tri-elemental build which means you will be doing all 3 elemental types of damage at the same time fire, lightning and cold.

You can also use a few uniques if you playing standard mode to make this even easier and faster.

In this guide I will explain with all the details everything you need to know since level 1 until you reach end game.

Build Variants

When you start your leveling journey the spells you will pick will stay with you until end game which makes all of this easy. You start soon with Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod. Lightning Arrow it's amazing for clearing all maps since it provides single and area of damage at the same time, when you need extra damage you can just throw a Lightning Rod to increase that damage. This is all you needs on your first levels

Soon you will be able to get Freezing Salvo and Barrage both of this skills will give you extra damage when fighting against rare or boss enemies.

Then we will be using 3 buffs the first one you want to get will be Herald of Thunder as soon as possible. This will increase your power clearing enemies. Next one we want Herald of Ice to amplify your area damage worse case scenario you will be getting a second spirit gem at Act 3 after defeating bog witch this way you can get your second buff.

Once you get more spirit gems you will have two options level up your heralds being herald of thunder your major priority or if you can afford for more spirit then you can allocate Wind Dancer for more dodge rating and defence.

This is all you need to reach end game, looks easy right?

EQUIPMENT

For this build if you are playing in standard mode and able to buy some unique equipment this are quite cheap you can find for less than 1 exalted and you will keep this uniques for a long, long time and this way you don't need to worry much about drops.
This build can still be used without any of these uniques since there is a lot of power coming from passive tree.

CHARM

As soon as you get a Thawing Charm that's the best choice for you. This will prevent you to be frozen and eventually your death.

BODY ARMOR

On body armour your first 10 levels everything will be a good upgrade for your equipment. After that there are some stats you want to prioritize which you can find bellow. If you are playing on standard league you can get a Coat of Red until level 11 and then a Gloomform which was the body armour I used until finish Act 3 cruel.
List of stats by prioritization:
- # Evasion Rating
- % Increased Evasion Rating
- Any Resistance that you may need
- Intelligence or Dexterity Attributes
- Spirit

WEAPON

For the weapon I have a easy alternative that you can use from level 1 to end game which is Widowhail, this bow is amazing and can prevent wasting any time looking for good bows. If you can't get one of these then look for a Dualstring Bow with the stats bellow.
List of stats by prioritization
- %Increased Physical damage
- Adds # to # Physical damage (or any other type of damage will be good)
- + level of projectile skills
- Dexterity/ Intelligence depending what you need
- % Increased attack speed

QUIVER

For quiver will be more flexible. If you want to go for the easy way you can get a Asphyxia's Wrath to start your leveling up and swap to a
Blackgleam to increase your tri-elemental damage since it will increase chance to ignite but both will be equally good. If you eventually find a good quiver then will be the best to switch for that one you found according with the best stats.
List of stats by prioritization:
- %Increased Damage With Bow Skills
- adds # to # Physical Damage To Attacks or any other type of daamage
- # To level of projectile skills
- # To Accuracy Rating
- # To dexterity
- % Increased attack Speed

HELMET

On helmet there a few good options you can go with energy shield, evasion or both. If you want a easy start get a Erian's Cobble you can equip at level 11 and it's an amazing helmet that gives a bit of everything. If you can get one of this helmet then you can follow the list of prioritization.
List of stats by prioritization:
- %Increased Energy Shield, %Increased Evasion Rating, % Increased Evasion and shield, any of these will be good
- Evasion Rating Or Energy Shield
- Any resistances you may need
- Any attributes you may need

GLOVES

The Painter's Servant will be the best gloves overall you can equip this ones since level 1 and they will increase the power from your passive tree nodes and weapon to increase your damage. This ones are pretty cheap to get in the market but if you can't afford or playing SSF no worries because any other gloves will work as well.
List of stats by prioritization:
- % increased evasion and energy shield or % increased evasion
- adds # to # physical damage to attacks

BOOTS

For boots we have a couple of options you can use. You can start with Wake of Destruction will increase your movement speed and lightning damage which is amazing for this build and at level 33 switch to Bushwhack this ones will increase even more the movement and also improve the power of this build. Again this is just to make your life easier if you can't use this ones any boots with the follow stats will be good as well.
List of stats by prioritization:
- % Increased Movement Speed

RINGS

There is no unique items that can fit here so for this ones we really want to look for good rings to increase our damage and complement our resistances

- Adds physical damage to attacks
- Adds cold, lightning or fire damage to attacks
- Dexterity
- # To Evasion Rating

Skill And Spirt Gems

When you start your levelling journey you should be able to get Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod pretty soon. This skills will be used from level 1 to endgame. Lightning Arrow will be used to clear maps and decimate everything that comes on your way and when you find a enemy more difficult throw some Lightning Rod on the floor and use Lightning Arrow to increase your damage.

By this stage you should be able to get your first buff the Herald of Thunder this one will help with your clear speed increasing damage overall.

Then you can slot two more active skills as soon as possible. Barrage and Freezing Salvo, this skills will provide some extra damage every time you find a stronger enemy or boss you can use this options. Later on the levelling journey you will be able to get Combat Frenzy and generate frenzy charges increasing even more the damage from Barrage

Now that you have all your active skill you only need to get a few buffs until you reach end game. Next one will be Herald of Ice, together with Herald of Thunder this will provide tons of area damage and clear speed. Next one will be Combat Frenzy as I said before this one will provide frenzy charges increasing the utility and damage from Barrage. Lastly you want Wind Dancer to increase your evasion rating and knocking back all those enemies that manage to hit you.

Passive Tree

main:

123
set 1:

set 2:

This is a tri-elemental build and we want to get as much elemental damage from those 3 types of elements as possible.
Make sure to watch my video on youtube to understand how can you progress in your passive tree more effectively being strong every level and not feeling weak when you need to wait a few nodes for that node that will increase your damage.

You want to start aiming for Master Fletching this node will increase a lot your damage and then Catalysis, with this node we already getting a little bit of each elemental damage and now it's time to get Vile Wounds increasing our damage every time we inflict a elemental ailment. Elemental ailments are freeze, chill, ignite, shock and electrocution and from all of this the only one we will not inflict will be electrocution, because we don't really need to.

Now it's time to increase our elemental damage overall and increase the chance to inflict those ailments Harness the Elements will increase your damage and the nodes around will not just increase elemental damage but also the chance to inflict ailments. After this get General Electric to increase the chance to shock. Shock is very important because will be the ailment that will trigger that reaction between heralds. Since you have this increased chance and by this time you should have Herald of Ice getting Coming Calamity will increase even more our damage.

But the next nodes will be the big boost Echoing Flames, Echoing Frost and Echoing Thunder this 3 together will increase 90% your damage, crazy right?

After this let's increase the power of our main ability Lightning Arrow activating Lightning Quick and Drenched. Now that our lightning damage is pretty strong let's add something more, Climate Change will give us more damage against frozen enemies which will happen a lot.

Finaly before you reach endgame this will be the last nodes Overexposure and Stormbreaker will increase the chance to apply ailments and increase damage. Amazing right?

By this time you should be able to easy clear all maps and you can start your end game with this build you will feel blessed with the power of elements.

How it Works

Map clear

Lightning Arrow most of the times and Lightning Rod, Barrage and Freezing Salvo for extra damage against rares.

Boss

Lightning Rod, activate Barrage and Lightning Arrow. Use Freezing Salvo and Barrage everything the cooldown resets and make sure to have Lightning Rod on the floor while you spam Lightning Arrow.
