Build Overview

The Monk 5.0 is the definitive evolution of the Flicker archetype — a high-speed, high-impact powerhouse capable of over 9 million damage per Flicker hit and exceeding 23 million total DPS when fully buffed. This version delivers unmatched consistency and survivability, combining lightning-fast aggression with heavy defensive layering for true endgame dominance.

Designed for both mapping and bossing, Monk 5.0 delivers fluid movement, relentless damage, and enough defences to thrive deep into endgame content. It’s the most complete version yet — no gimmicks, no wasted nodes, just pure efficiency and destruction.

Our core setup revolves around Flicker Strike powered by Cast on Critical & Profane Ritual to stack power charges infinitely. To keep the chaos rolling, we use Tempest Flurry for fast clears — it generates combos that feed Staggering Palm, giving us the defensive and offensive edge we need.

If you are struggling with currency, take body armour that has the suffix "#% increased Spirit Reservation Efficiency of Skills"
This will allow you to get a cheaper body armour at the cost of Evasion and Energy Shield, but you will keep that 240 spirit threshold.

If you do not have 75% on all resistances, take a belt with the resistances you need.

When you take Chaos Inoculation, this will make you immune to chaos damage, thus freeing up points to spend on more DPS or Abasement and/or Shimmering Mirage.

This is due to thresholds being based off HP, as you only have 1HP, your thresholds are VERY LOW!
We have factored in this and taken Dampening Shield to mitigate some of the threshold loss.

If you are struggling for spirit, you could take Reaper's Invocation and socket the same skills that are in Cast on Critical, this will free up roughly 70 spirit to be used elsewhere.

NOTE: Reaper's Invocation will need to be manually triggered after each melee kill (5 charges)

Energy shield, evasion and power charges are the main priority here! The more ES and EV, the more you'll survive. Aim for a EHP (hit points) over 60k. I currently have 77k EHP so I am very tanky.

Jewels

Get yourself jewels that give you the following:

Critical Damage Bonus, Elemental damage or added damage to chaos, Increased Energy Shield & Critical Hit Chance

The Jewels I have are:

How it Plays

Mapping

1. At first start, swap to weapon set 2 and use Sacrifice on your Skeletal Warrior's to generate power charges.

2. Activate Charged Staff

3. Swap back to weapon set 2 and use Sacrifice on your Skeletal Warrior's to generate power charges again.

4. Press Flicker Strike the flick around the map

5. Cast on Critical will proc Profane Ritual for more power charges allowing you to Flicker Strike again.

6. Struggling for charges, use Profane Ritual on corpses to gain charges, also Staggering Palm paired with Culmination II & Ailith's Chimes will give you power charges when you expend a combo.

Bossing

1. At first start, swap to weapon set 2 and use Sacrifice on your Skeletal Warrior's to generate power charges.

2. Activate Charged Staff

3. Swap back to weapon set 2 and use Sacrifice on your Skeletal Warrior's to generate power charges again.

4. Double Infernal Cry for a huge increase in damage!

5. Destroy the boss!

6. Celebrate with a nice cup of tea.

If your Flicker Strike DPS is low, upgrade your gear and take more physical damage, or step back on, repeat steps 1-6.

How it Works

When you hit, due to 100% crit chance, this will cause Cast on Critical to activate, therefore proccing everything that is in there.

Flicker Strike attacks fast, so it crits a lot, so it generates charges from Profane Ritual, this paired with Rapid Casting II, Overabundance II and Compressed Duration II means you get power charges back almost instantly, allowing you to flicker again.
