[0.5] Supporting Fire Only Tact - One Button King

Updated on Jun 17, 2026

Build Overview

Hey guys, KallTorak here! I'm an Off-Meta creator with an affinity for silly goose time builds! This is my Supporting Fire Tact build for speed leveling & end game.

What is Supporting Fire?

Supporting Fire is a Tactician only ability where you rain down a massive amount of arrows. Seriously, I mean massive. It is a Minion Command skill with a very short cooldown. You are constantly able to run around and bombard your enemies with hundreds of arrows rain that cover the entire screen! It being a minion skill means we are able to scale it with minion scaling tricks such as Muster!

The extra cool thing about Supporting Fire is it scales off Strength and Dexterity making stat stacking amazing for this skill. Strength increases its damage while Dexterity increases its area of effect. When leveling with uniques such as Titanrot Cataphract and Astramentis you have one of the safest and most fun leveling experiences in the game!

Is this a minion build?

No! Well kind of but not in the traditional sense. Yes we have a lot of minions following us around but in late game they aren't really contributing to our damage in the grand scheme. They are used for Muster which scales our DPS of Supporting Fire greatly. So while yes we stack a lot of random minions, we only get 1 of them and we mainly use them for debuffs. Supporting Fire is the star of this show! it doesn't feel like you are playing a minion build at all!

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Supporting Fire Screen clears from level 20 and the damage scales really well off your strength.
  • One button ftw!!
  • Stat Stacker version doesnt depend on minion damage to do bossing in late game. We do all of our killing with Supporting Fire.
  • Very tanky since we are strength stacking with the new armour stacking changes and deflection buff.
  • Supporting Fire like all ascendancy skills scale with your level. You will not get your final support gem slot until level 90. You unlock the support gem slots at level 40, 65, and 90.
  • Using expensive lineage support gems to clear t3 bosses Uul-Netol's Embrace & Dialla's Desire. These aren't required but it speed up the kill for sure.

Trenchtimbre or a Shield?

Trenchtimbre is an awesome low level item that you can use the entire game. I am still using one with +2 minion skills!. It also gets greatly boosted when you stack Greater Rune of Leadership in it!

However, you might be quite okay with your damage and want to improve your survivability instead. You could then use a shield. Get a high armour shield focus with armour applies to elemental damage on it. You will lose some damage yes but you will gain block and a lot of defenses this way.

How it Plays

Supporting Fire throws a flare on the ground. After a very short delay the area is covered in your minions arrows. You are running around throwing these flares on the ground and then watching the carnage. It is very simple and very smooth.

How it Works

Supporting Fire is a skill that scales off Minion tags, Strength, and Dexterity. Getting as high a strength as possible is most important as well as scaling the gem level of the skill. You get to a high gem level my scaling with minion levels on Trenchtimbre and a Rattling Sceptre. Amulet can also get you +3 minion skills. Helmets can get up to +5 skills if you get a vertex with an enchant, but most people will use +3 skills. Add on Dialla's Desire which also increases the damage of Supporting Fire and you can get the dps well over 1,000,000. This does require investment.

Strength stacking is your next best potion for scaling damage. I currently have over 1,000 strength but you should try and get even higher. For dex it isnt near as important to scale. The base AoE of the skill is already screen wide. There is also a cap on how high you can scale its AoE. You really don't need much dex to get the AoE big though.

You are able to scale the damage very high by minion stacking with Muster. Despite us using many minions they are basically paperweights to buff Supporting Fire. 99% of our damage is coming from Supporting Fire.
