Build Overview

Welcome to MrRonit's Ice Strike Stat Stacking Build! This build specialises in being a DPS monster thanks to Ice Strike Charged Staff and Tempest Bell so you can nuke pinnacle bosses in seconds!

Combat Frenzy with Resonance keystone in passive tree we can now generate power charges super easily! This means we can buff our weapons with lightning damage through Charged Staff allowing us to shock enemies on top and deal tonnes of damage!

This endgame version takes our DPS to stratospheric levels and keeps our energy shield + defences (Evasion + ES) very high allowing you to take on tier 15+ maps, pinnacle bosses with ease! With Herald of Ice and Herald of Thunder we can clear entire screens in one click!

With Chaos Inoculation we have now made the defence of the build watertight! Immune to chaos damage means you no longer get 1 shot to random stuff and on top we have massive energy shield bonuses so you never die!

The difference with this setup compared to my older setup is now we incorporate stat stacking - so the passive tree is very different as we path towards Jack of all Trades and Polymathy. We also use very different jewels.

The build below will start off with a cheaper stat stacking variant and then we can make it even stronger using expensive items such as Ingenuity Morior Invictus Astramentis to take the damage to stratospheric levels (1m-2m+ tooltip DPS)!

This is the cheap starter setup.

There are no triple stat rings, no Ingenuity , no Astramentis. This budget version of the build will surpass even expensive versions of other non-stat stacking ice strike builds!

Chaos Inoculation is amazing for the endgame because we can now ignore chaos damage, which there are a lot of abilities in endgame mapping that can 1 shot you! Your life is set at just 1hp so we have to maximise energy shield through our gear, passive nodes and jewels!

Pillar of the Caged God - try and buy one with 12% increased weapon damage per 5 strength

Hand of Wisdom and Action - base version is sufficient for starter but can push for 4% attack speed or 1-11/1-12 lightning damage corrupted rolls later on

For mapping use Grim Feast - do not use Cast on Shock

For bossing use Cast on Shock with Eye of Winter and Sniper's Mark. This will apply Critical Weakness from Eye of Winter and a critical damage bonus from Sniper's Mark to really boost damage against bosses. Make sure Eye of Winter is level 13 to minimise mana drain! Soul Thief on tempest bell really helps with mana problems on bossing!

This is a passive skill tree for level 92 setup

For jewels you need 1 Ruby with Rage on Hit

Sapphires with Maximum energy shield, critical damage bonus and cold damage

And then legendary jewels:

1) Controlled Metamorphosis Diamond so you can get Falcon Technique , Proficiency and Beastial Skin without pathing towards it - you need one with a large ring and minimal all resistance penalty as you can afford. (See video for explanation if this is confusing)

2) Against the Darkness Time-lost Diamond - with increased % strength (and ideally increased % dex/int)

Optional Expensive Upgrades

1) Megalomaniac jewel can give you bonuses from nodes you don't have or haven't pathed to! - look for cheaper nodes like or

2) Heroic Tragedy Timeless Jewel - Very expensive, but if you place next to Dance with Death it will replace it with Circular Teachings (Every 2 strength now provides 1% energy shield instead of life). This is INSANELY POWERFUL for stat stacking builds using energy shield! It will alone give you like 3-6k energy shield!
