Gear is copied from Act 4/5, most gear won't change too drastically. Continue to look for/craft upgrades as you progress through Cruel. (Especially Weapon)

Note: Keep in mind Giant's Blood will triple your Weapon's STR requirement. Hold off until you have enough STR for your weapon. Having Reduced Attribute Requirement on Mace also helps.

Continue upgrading gear based on natural loot/vendors.

You can animation cancel Rolling Slam with Boneshatter so it acts like a regular slam than a travel skill.

Ascension

Smith's Masterwork - Use Body Armour with highest Base Armour.

Kitavan Engraving - 15% Max Life
Support Straps - 20% Increased Strength
Leather Bindings - 5% Life Regen
Molten Symbol - 25% Phys taken as Fire

Mace

• Increased Physical Damage
• Adds Flat Physical Damage
• Attack Speed
• + Level of Melee Skills

Armour

• Resistances
• Maximum Health
• Strength (+2 Health per Strength)
• Int/Dex for Gem Requirements
• Flat Life Regeneration (better early, falls off)

Other Mods

• Adds Flat Physical Damage to Attacks (Ring / Gloves)
• Attack Speed (Gloves)
• +Level of Melee Skills (Amulet/Gloves) - careful of mana costs

Additional Notes:

• Use Runes as you find them for Resistances.
• Iron Rune is great for increasing your Mace's damage once you find one with a high roll.
• Movement Speed on Boots is always the priority
