Build Overview

Slam Warrior is one of the strongest leveling builds for league start in PoE 2. The build has amazing clear and single-target damage. It is also very tanky and can clear the campaign quickly with self-found gear.

Ascendancy

Titan is one of the most powerful Ascendancies in the game, thanks to Hulking Form, which massively increases the offensive and defensive bonuses you gain from the passive tree.

For the rest of your Ascendancy, Earthbreaker stacks with your other sources of Aftershock chance and can scale up to 100%, effectively doubling your damage. Once in maps, you can spec into Ancestral Empowerment. This bonus works with Fist of War III, overriding the 14-second cooldown and granting enormous increases to damage and AoE.

Breaking Armour

You can break armour on enemies by heavy stunning them thanks to Shattering Blow. This bonus scales with sources of Break Increased Armour and can apply Fully Broken Armour to all enemies (even bosses), granting 20% more damage against them. It also synergizes with The Molten One's Gift to grant increased fire damage against enemies with Fully Broken Armour.

How to Clear Zones (Act 1):

Cast Rolling Slam, then use Boneshatter immediately after the first Rolling Slam hit to quickly kill packs of enemies. Mastering this quick combo is key to smoothly clearing Act 1.

You can use Pounce to move through zones quickly, just be sure to grab a Talisman.

How to Clear Zones (Act 2):

Replacing Rolling Slam with Leap Slam makes pulling off the Boneshatter combo even easier.

As a bonus, Leap Slam helps with mobility while also dealing damage!

You can continue using Pounce and Wolf Form to quickly run through areas.

How to Clear Zones (Act 3+):

Switching from Leap Slam to Stampede gives more consistent damage and is safer when moving quickly through campaign zones. You can still use the Stampede-Boneshatter combo, but most enemies will be dead after you've hit them with Stampede.

You should still keep Leap Slam socketed and use it to jump over terrain.

How to Kill Bosses (Acts 1 & 2):

Cast Earthquake under bosses and refresh it each time it expires. You can hit them with Rolling Slam or Mace Strike until they are primed for a Heavy Stun, then use Boneshatter and attack them with both hits of Rolling Slam (the second hit does more damage to Heavy Stunned enemies).

Once you unlock Leap Slam in Act 2 and support it with Crater, you can use it against bosses to cover the area in fissures, then cast Rolling Slam to trigger them for massive damage.

How to Kill Bosses (Act 3+):

Throw Forge Hammer at bosses, detonate it with Infernal Cry, and stomp around the area with Stampede. Once the boss is in Heavy Stun range, hit them with Boneshatter, then cast Hammer of the Gods. Boom.

You can add Sunder to the Hammer of the Gods combo for even more burst damage.

Lineage Supports:

You don't need Rakiata's Flow to make Forge Hammer blast bosses, but it is a nice flex if you can afford it. If not, Fire Penetration II will work until you can.

Socketing Zerphi's Infamy into Hammer of the Gods increases the Glory requirement to 50, but allows ALL life costs to generate Glory, letting you freely cast Hammer of the Gods without having to heavy stun bosses!

The gem Atalui's Bloodletting grants Extra Damage as Physical based on life costs. It can be useful as a support for Stampede if you don't feel that you need the life regeneration from Holy Descent.

Act Bonuses:

  • Act 2: Charm Charges Gained
  • Act 3: Stun Threshold
  • Act 4: Life Flask
  • Act 4: +5 Resistances
  • Act 4: 30% Inc Armour/Evasion/ES
