Build Overview

Missing the thrill of cyclone from POE 1 Exile? Then i have got the perfect build for you that wont even cost you a divine to make!

A Pure Physical whirling assault build, a.k.a cyclone at home. By making most out of heavy stuns and armor breaks to fully utilize the Titan Ascendancy.

We make the most out of Whirling Assault and the interaction between Staggering Palm for screen wide clear and to melt bosses.

Build Variants

Final Min-Maxed Version of Build, From 1 divine we went to 100s of divines invested in this version. All the equipment has changed, most of the gems have been changed and Weapon sets have been added to the build.

As you can see all the gear has changed for this final version. Our Body Armor, Boots and Gloves now all have % of armor taken elemental damage modifier and our helmet even has the % of armor taken as chaos damage modifier making us quite tanky (compared to before we have amazing defense now).

You will now need life leech in the build so make sure to get it from some source whether its from Life Leech III or as a modifier on your equipment, this is a must.

For Offense as you can see our Gloves, Amulet and weapon all has + to skill gems modifier boosting our gems levels. As i had mentioned in previous video update i have crafted a new weapon with very high physical damage and critical strike chance. The attack speed on the weapon is not mandatory but is very nice to have, you can aim for critical damage instead. Now our helmet also provides increased critical strike chance, meanwhile we gain even more critical damage from gloves.

Overall the offensive power of this build is off the charts in this update, where we previously had 36% critical strike chance and 300% critical damage bonus. Now we have a massive 60% critical strike chance and whooping 600% critical damage bonus. The damage has more then doubled.

As for our gear in Weapon set 2 we now have The Surrender, this shield provides amazing defense by means of life gain whenever we block. Which comes in very handy whenever we are actively blocking. And for the weapon in Weapon set 2 we are using three socketed spear with Greater Rune of Alacrity inside it. These runes provide skill speed, which applies globally and can affect skills used by our shield. Although i have used a spear here you can use any 1 handed weapon with 3 rune sockets.

You will need atleast 105 dex, 90 int and 157 strength for this build.

All the gems have been finalized in this version. With many changes to supports gems and new additions of skill gems.

Lets start with the removal of Sniper's Mark, this was not offering much in build so i have removed it to make space for more persistent buffs.

Now Time of Need and Berserk have been added to the build. You might notice some really expensive support gems on Berserk which do provide a nice boost but are not mandatory.

Our Main Damaging Skill Whirling Assault now has Atalui's Bloodletting and to make most out of this all other supports gems are the ones which have mana multipliers. So it now costs almost 900 life to use giving us tons of extra physical damage. This gem and degen from Berserk is the main reason that we now definitely gonna need life leech in this build.

As you can see Whirling Assault is supported by Blindside, which requires enemy to be blinded but the skill cannot blind the enemy itself. So we use Quarterstaff Strike and Raise Shield supported with Blind II to blind our targets.

Tempest Bell is also now supported with Lightning Attunement which adds lighting damage to it allowing us to inflict shock with critical strikes.

With all these changes the max damage dealing combo also changes, this is how it will work now.

1) Blind your enemy with Quarterstaff Strike or Raise Shield.

2) Use Whirling Assault to build up Combo and Glory for Tempest Bell and War Banner.

3) Drop Tempest Bell and War Banner.

4) Use Whirling Assault till your target dies, quite simple.

Now the build has Weapon Sets, Weapon Set 1 is allocated for damage meanwhile Weapon Set 2 is allocated for defense and is only used when we use Raise Shield. The nodes assigned to Weapon Set 2 mostly provide stun threshold, block chance and Frightening Shield also provides debilitate on block for even more defense.

Now that we have life leech in build, we have also allocated Voracious for instant leech eliminating the need to use Cannibalism I.

The build uses two rare Large Radius Time-Lost Ruby jewels which grants modifiers like increased damage against armor broken enemies per small node (this gets boosted by Hulking Form so its perfect), increased effect of notable passives (this is amazing and provides us insane value when placed in socket near Unbending, biggest winners here being Overwhelming Strike and Unforgiving) and Rage gain per affected notable eliminating the need to use Rage III on one jewel and increased Glory for banners on the other.

How it Works

Its a Pure physical build which relies heavily on heavy stunning enemies and fully breaking their armor to deal insane damage with critical strikes!
