Overview

This build is an all-rounder build that uses Spiral Volley for clear and Toxic Growth & Gas Arrow for single target. It has massive mapping potential because Spiral Volley is an extremely efficient and strong ability that even has good clear on normally bad maps like Augury due to the chaining properties of its arrows.

This build is also very budget friendly despite being a bow build because it doesn't use crit, the weapon and items will be very cheap!

Frenzy Charge Generation

Normally Frenzy Charge generation is pretty limited, but we take advantage of Armour Break III and Resonance to build Endurance Charges that in turn get converted to Frenzy Charges. The advantage of this build is that Corrosion breaks armour extremely easily, so the gear required to make this build function is very low.

Didn't Surrounded Get Nerfed?

Yes, but it's not very relevant for us because Spiral Volley is a close/mid-range attacking skill anyways. You don't want to use it when you have no enemies around you. So Constricting Command is still our best in slot helmet!

Physical vs Elemental - Which One Should You Do?

Honestly, both are quite comparable. It just depends on what items are cheaper/more expensive. The full elemental version will be harder to balance resistances, but the weapon is likely much cheaper than the full physical version.

The full physical version is using less Uniques, so resistances are easier to balance, but the weapon will be more expensive.

So all in all:
Elemental = Easier to get more dmg but harder to get survivability.
Physical = Harder to get more dmg but easier to get more survivability.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Huge map clear
  • Budget Friendly
  • Poison Herald Cascades are very satisfying
  • Single Target can be a bit slower due to not running crit

IMPORTANT

Use your bow setup in Weapon Set II because we use Rigwald's Ferocity. If you use it in Weapon Set I, the build will be much weaker.

Equipment

Weapon

As much physical damage on the bow as possible and as many levels to projectile skills/attack skills as possible. Nothing else matters

Runes you will want either double runes of Fenumus' Rune of Agony or have one be a Talisman of Thruldana to help with map clear.

Quiver

Cadiro's Gambit will be best in slot for mapping. For bossing, feel free to use a normal quiver with the following stats if you don't think you have enough damage.

Prefix:

- Physical Damage to Attacks

- %Damage of Bow Skills

Suffix:

- +2 Levels of Projectile Skills

- % Attack Speed

Helmet

We use Constricting Command command in this build. It is likely the most overpowered Unique Item in Patch 0.3 because of the Surround Clusters on the Skill Tree. YOU NEED TO HAVE THE LAST LINE SAY AT LEAST 4 FEWER ENEMIES! Anything below that is not worth it.

If you can't afford it/don't want to use it, use an Energy Shield Helmet and run Subterfuge Mask on the skill tree.

Body Armour

Prioritize as much Energy Shield and Evasion as possible. Also try to get as much Resists as possible. Spirit is not required

Gloves

A rare glove with as much flat physical damage as possible!

Boots

Pretty straightforward - as much Energy Shield and Resistances as possible. As high Movement Speed as possible.

Amulet

Serpent's Egg is required in my opinion. Without it, you will not be able to sustain Frenzy Charges well enough. If you want more damage against single-target, find a rare amulet with +3 to Projectile Skills.

Annoint Lasting Trauma.

Rings

Get as much flat damage as possible. Physical, Cold, Lightning, Fire, are all good. Get as much resist as possible - especially if you are using Original Sin.

Belt

Darkness Enthroned (Gloves Version) with Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty and Fenumus' Rune of Draining will be Best in Slot for Damage. Otherwise, use a rare belt if you can't get enough Resistances. Headhunter is also good for mapping if you want to use that.

Jewels

This build uses a Controlled Metamorphosis with a Medium-Large Ring on the right side of the tree. It also uses a From Nothing for Oasis.

For the Rare Jewels, prioritize the following stats in this order:

1. Magnitude of Ailments

2. Ailments Deal Damage % Faster

3. Energy Shield %
