Overview

This build is an all-rounder build that uses Spiral Volley for clear and Toxic Growth & Gas Arrow for single target. It has massive mapping potential because Spiral Volley is an extremely efficient and strong ability that even has good clear on normally bad maps like Augury due to the chaining properties of its arrows.

This build is also very budget friendly despite being a bow build because it doesn't use crit, the weapon and items will be very cheap!

Frenzy Charge Generation

Normally Frenzy Charge generation is pretty limited, but we take advantage of Armour Break III and Resonance to build Endurance Charges that in turn get converted to Frenzy Charges. The advantage of this build is that Corrosion breaks armour extremely easily, so the gear required to make this build function is very low.

Didn't Surrounded Get Nerfed?

Yes, but it's not very relevant for us because Spiral Volley is a close/mid-range attacking skill anyways. You don't want to use it when you have no enemies around you. So Constricting Command is still our best in slot helmet!

Physical vs Elemental - Which One Should You Do?

Honestly, both are quite comparable. It just depends on what items are cheaper/more expensive. The full elemental version will be harder to balance resistances, but the weapon is likely much cheaper than the full physical version.

The full physical version is using less Uniques, so resistances are easier to balance, but the weapon will be more expensive.

So all in all:
Elemental = Easier to get more dmg but harder to get survivability.
Physical = Harder to get more dmg but easier to get more survivability.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Huge map clear
  • Budget Friendly
  • Poison Herald Cascades are very satisfying
  • Single Target can be a bit slower due to not running crit

Equipment

Most of the gear on here is just recommendations for leveling. Use what you have/what works for you. Ideally you want as much life and resistances as possible on your armor and as much physical damage on your Weapon, Quiver, Rings, and Gloves. Boots, use whatever has the highest movement speed.

In Act 1, try to prioritize Cold Resistance as Count Geonor mainly does Cold Damage!

Weapon

Use whatever Bow you can get with the highest amount of Physical Damage and + Projectile Skill Levels.

Quiver

Get as much Flat Physical Damage as possible

Boots

Movement speed is king - don't worry about the rest of the stats.

Rings & Gloves

Anything with flat physical damage is good. Survivability stats is a bonus!

Heading into Clearfell Encampment, take Poisonburst Arrow from the Uncut Gem from Renly.

Clearfell

In Clearfell (the first map), there should be an Abandoned Stash in the Mysterious Campsite where you get a guaranteed Uncut Skill Gem - use that to get Contagion. You will use this in combination with Poisonburst Arrow for your main form of clear.

Then, head into The Mud Burrow and defeat The Devourer to get another Uncut Skill Gem to upgrade your Poisonburst Arrow and get the Uncut Support Gem from Renly afterwards and get Concentrated Area for your Poisonburst Arrow.

Grelwood

In Grelwood, make sure to find Areagne's Hut - kill her to get an Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Magnified Area I for Contagion

The Red Vale

After completing The Red Vale, The Rust King will drop another Uncut Skill Gem - use this to get Vine Arrow.

The Grim Tangle

In The Grim Tangle, kill The Rotten Druid to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Swift Affliction I for Vine Arrow.

Cemetery of the Eternals

In The Cemetery of The Eternals, find The Sarcophagus (an interactable) for a chance to get an Iron Ring.

In The Tomb of The Consort, you can defeat the Rare monster that spawns from the Haunted Chest (another interactable) to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Escalating Poison for Poisonburst Arrow.

From here on out, use every Skill Gem to upgrade Poisonburst Arrow and Vine Arrow. Contagion does not scale well with levels, so only upgrade it if you have extra Uncut Skill Gems.
