Overview

Glacial Lance is one of my favorite abilities in Path of Exile 2 because of how good it looks and how good it feels to use it. Using Ritualist, we are able to generate infinite Frenzy Charges to allow us to always use empowered Glacial Lance and we are able to quickly freeze the entire screen!

This build can be built from a budget with only 3 required Unique items that are all extremely cheap but can scale extremely well into the late game.

The Tech

How we generate Frenzy Charges so easily is through a combination of three Uniques and a Unique charm: Scold's Bridle Lightning Coil Bijouborne and Valako's Roar. Whenever we use a skill, Scold's Bridle will do Physical Damage to us. That Physical Damage is converted to Lightning through Lightning Coil and will trigger Valako's Roar to give us a Frenzy Charge. We reduce the duration of the charm so we can use it more often using Bijouborne. This is all possible because Ritualist has Mind Phylacteries which allows us to use charms even when we have no charges - this means that NO OTHER ASCENDANCY can use this tech for this build because they will eventually run out of charges in single-target scenarios.

Equipment

If you can get + to Level of Projectile Skills on your Gloves and/or Amulet, that is PRIME. It will boost your damage by a huge margin.

Also, not feel obligated to stick to the exact items I have listed. This is just a guideline for the items and stats you should be getting. Just remember to pick up items and prioritize Maximum Life on armor pieces and Physical Damage on Weapons, Rings, and Gloves.

Also try to get as much % Cold Resistance as possible in order to have a smooth fight against Count Geonor even if that means dropping an Iron Ring to get a Sapphire Ring.

Also if you have Lesser Glacial Rune you can use those to supplement for missing resists.

Clearfell

In Clearfell (the first map), there should be an Abandoned Stash in the Mysterious Campsite where you get another guaranteed Uncut Skill Gem - use that to get Frost Bomb.

Then, head into The Mud Burrow and defeat The Devourer to get another Uncut Skill Gem to upgrade your Twister. Then with the Uncut Support Gem as the quest reward, get Retreat I for Twister.

Grelwood

In Grelwood, make sure to find Areagne's Hut - kill her to get an Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Rage I for Whirling Slash.

The Red Vale

After completing The Red Vale, The Rust King will drop another Uncut Skill Gem - use this to get Fangs of Frost. At this point you will want to use Parry and Fangs of Frost when you need more damage against a tanky rare or bosses.

The Grim Tangle

In The Grim Tangle, kill The Rotten Druid to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Elemental Armament I for Twister.

Cemetery of the Eternals

In The Cemetery of The Eternals, find The Sarcophagus (an interactable) for a chance to get an Iron Ring.

In The Tomb of The Consort, you can defeat the Rare monster that spawns from the Haunted Chest (another interactable) to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Rapid Attacks I for Whirling Slash.

Ogham Village

After you kill The Executioner, Leitis will give you another Uncut Skill Gem in back in town, which you can use to get Ice-Tipped Arrows.
