Overview

Glacial Lance is back on the menu! With the new buffs that came with Patch 0.4, Glacial Lance is stronger than ever. Using Ritualist, we are able to generate infinite Frenzy Charges to allow us to always use empowered Glacial Lance and we are able to quickly freeze the entire screen!

This build can be built from a budget with only 3 required Unique items that are all extremely cheap but can scale extremely well into the late game.

The Tech

How we generate Frenzy Charges so easily is through a combination of three Uniques and a Unique charm: Scold's Bridle Lightning Coil Bijouborne and Valako's Roar. Whenever we use a skill, Scold's Bridle will do Physical Damage to us. That Physical Damage is converted to Lightning through Lightning Coil and will trigger Valako's Roar to give us a Frenzy Charge. We reduce the duration of the charm so we can use it more often using Bijouborne. This is all possible because Ritualist has Mind Phylacteries which allows us to use charms even when we have no charges - this means that NO OTHER ASCENDANCY can use this tech for this build because they will eventually run out of charges in single-target scenarios.

Weapon Set I

On our Main Hand, we use a Rare Spear with the following Stats (all required)

High Crit
High Physical Damage
Gain % Damage as Extra Physical Damage
+3 Attack Skill Levels

On our Off-hand, we use Sacred Flame. Get as high Gain as Extra Fire Damage as possible. 2 slots with Rabbit Idol is ideal but 1 slot is fine.

Weapon Set II

Get a wand or staff with as much Cast Speed as possible.

Helmet

Scold's Bridle is required. Get as much Energy Shield as possible. Get as low Damage to Self as possible.

Gloves

Rare gloves with the following stats:

As much Flat Damage as Possible (phys and cold preferred)
Max Life
Resistances

Chest Armour

Lightning Coil with as high Physical Damage from Hits Taken as Lightning Damage as possible.

Make sure you slot one The Greatwolf's Rune of Willpower in your chest.

Boots

Pretty straightforward - as much Evasion and Resistances as possible. As high Movement Speed as possible.

Amulet

Get a Rare Amulet with the following stats:

+3 to Projectile Skill Levels
As much Evasion & Global Defenses as Possible
Maximum Life
Resistances or Crit

Annoint Crystallised Immunities

Rings

You need to get Mana Leech Leech. Also try to get stats on your rings so you can use your Spirit Gems. Other than that, get as much Physical and Cold Flat Damage as possible as well as other survivability stats.
