This is my Unkillable Smith of Kitava Warrior for patch 0.2.0! This build is capable of one shotting map bosses and can handle pinnacle bosses relatively easy. We're hitting as high as 12 Million in 1 Perfect Strike and are averaging between 4-8 Million per normal Perfect Strike without Heavy Stun.

My Smith of Kitava Warrior uses Leap Slam combined with Brink to Prime enemies for Stun and then uses Boneshatter combined with tons of AOE and Herald of Ash to screen clear with an uppercut. We increase our damage exponentially by using The Deepest Tower which allows us to utilize Support gems like Execute for 50% More Damage and Passive Tree Nodes such as Finality, Finishing Blows, and Stars Aligned which provide a TON on damage.

Map Bosses are one-shotted by Perfect Strike by Heavy Stunning them, breaking their armor with Armour Breaker in a Ancestral Warrior Totem, and using Infernal Cry. This results in a ton of damage when combined with the effects of the The Deepest Tower.

Pinnacle Bosses are much easier to handle in this iteration as we don't have to Heavy Stun to have good damage. We'll use the same principles for Map Bosses and make sure to break armor using Armour Breaker, Empower our Attacks using Infernal Cry, and lowering the Bosses Elemental Resistances by using Solar Orb with Fire Exposure. We run the Passive Tree Node Vocal Empowerment so that we have 2 Empowered Attacks so we can hit Bosses without having to pause to Warcry again. This has resulted in a much smoother and consistent T4 Kills.

Xesht has a bugged Hit Box when Heavy Stunned and almost can NEVER be hit by Perfect Strike. Don't bother wasting time trying to Heavy Stun him as it results in you missing out on damage. Hopefully GGG will fix Xesht's Hit Box and improve Perfect Strike ability to hit targets as it can be frustrating to hit sometimes.

We have 90% Fire, Cold, and Lightning Resistance, 75% Chaos Resistance and 3.5K HP so we can play very aggressively and not worry about dying (as long as we're not being stupid). We also have a TON of HP Regeneration per second as we have Holy Descent, Leather Bindings, Font of Blood, Vitality, and our Implicit Regeneration from our Ornate Plate.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Very Tanky
  • Overcapped Resistances
  • One-Shot Map Bosses
  • Easy T4 Pinnacles
  • Easy and Consistent Mapping
  • Slow Animation for Perfect Strike wind up
  • Bugged Hit Boxes can be frustrating
  • Movement not as fast as other classes

Build Variants

We'll use The Deepest Tower to increase our damage a ton for bosses. Feel free to swap to Thrillsteel when mapping so that you can have increases Skill Speed and Movement Speed. I don't personally do this but some people enjoy the Skill Speed and Movement Speed increase provided by Onslaught.

You could also run 2 Amulets, one Anointed with Acceleration for Mapping and one with Stars Aligned for Bossing. This is for those that don't mind the swap and want to have a slightly more effective Mapping Speed.

Hammer:

On Weapon Set 1, you'll want a Hammer that has High Damage along with either Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks or Level of Melee Skills. Quality of Life things to have is Added Strength, reduced Attribute Requirements, and Increased Stun Buildup. I do recommend using Path of Building to help you buy Weapons as it can be tough to figure out what is the best Weapon Upgrade for you available on the market.

On Weapon Set 2, you'll want Hammers with High Damage, +5-7 Level of Melee Skill, Strength or Reduced Attribute Requirements. Other good stats to look out for is Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks and Attack Speed. The Hammer of Faith could be a cool combination in one hand if you happen to have one. They are REALLY expensive.

Shield:

You'll want to get a decent Block Chance shield with Maximum Life and any other needed Resistances. Other good stats are Additional Physical Damage Reduction, Strength, and Stun Threshold. I will be making Chernobog's Pillar variant as this Shield is capable of providing a TON of damage but the price of it is a bit outrageous.

Helmet:

We're using The Deepest Tower preferably with 2 Sockets so we have more options for Resistances, Life, and Attributes. You can run a Thrillsteel for mapping, also make sure it has 2 Sockets.

Body Armor:

We'll be using a Ornate Plate Normal Body Armor so we can utilize the Smith of Kitava Ascendancy nodes. Go for a Corrupted one with either 3 Sockets or Chaos Resistance. I went with 19% Chaos Resistances and at least 2% Life Regeneration on the Implicit.

Gloves:

We'll want to go for decent Armor Gloves with Max Life, Level of Melee Skill, Strength, and any necessary Resistances. Added Damages to Attacks are a nice bonus but prioritize the other stats before this. You can also get a Corrupted pair with either 2 Sockets or +1 Level of Melee Skill but those are expensive.

Boots:

We'll want 30-35% Movement Speed so we can move as fast as possible, the Warrior is already slow so lets not make it any worse. Go for Strength, Max Life, and any needed Resistances. Corrupted 2 Sockets are also a nice bonus if possible.

Rings:

Prioritize getting any other needed Resistances and Attributes and then go for Damages. The Smith of Kitava Ascendancy Node Coal Stoker will allow Fire Resistance to also give us Cold and Lightning Resistance at 50% of it's value so getting a lot of Fire Resistance on Rings can set up almost all your resistances you'll need. A mix of Flat Damage and % Damage will yield the best improvements from my testing this league.

Amulet:

Go for an Amulet that has Implicit Attributes like the Jade Amulet, Lapis Amulet, or Crimson Amulet. You'll want +3 Level of Melee Skills and Max Life/% Increased Max Life. Fill out any needed Attributes or Resistances. Anoint with either Stars Aligned or Finishing Blows.

Belt and Charms:

We're using Infernoclasp for the Increased Maximum Fire Resistance, Fire Resistance, and Strength. Try to get one with 2-3 Charm Slots so you can run a Stone Charm, Thawing Charm, and lastly Silver Charm. There's good Unique Charms like Ngamahu's Chosen, For Utopia, The Fall of the Axe, Sanguis Heroum, Beira's Anguish, and Forsaken Bangle.

Jewels:

You'll want a From Nothing with Unwavering Stance so you can pick Finality and the small nodes around it. This jewel is cheap for around 5-10 Chaos on recording.

Optional Jewels for more Damage are a Megalomaniac with either Stars Aligned or Finishing Blows or some other combination. I'll leave the choice up to your imagination but I paid 1 Div for mine. The other optional Jewel is a Prism of Belief with +2-3 Levels of Perfect Strike. Expect to pay between 1-4 Div for this upon recording.

I've Ordered the Skills and Support Gems in the way you should Equip them! Watch the YouTube video if you want anymore explanation of what is happening here!

Leap Slam - Run a Lower Level, around 10-13 version of this Skill as too much damage is a bad thing here, we don't wanna kill them, we just wanna Prime them for Stun for Boneshatter

Boneshatter - Our main clear skill, creates giant explosions when used on Primed for Stun targets. Use this to explode large packs of enemies after using Leap Slam

Perfect Strike - The Boss killer of the build, make sure to not miss the Perfect Timing Window or this will do no damage. Be sure to Break the Armor and the target with Ancestral Warrior Totem and drop a Solar Orb to get the most out of the skill

Ancestral Warrior Totem - We use this with Armour Breaker so we can use Exploit Weakness on our Perfect Strike for more damage. Break Posture on this will also Increase our Stun Buildup

Hammer of the Gods - I only use this when there's a pack of Rare's or I need to finish off a boss or rare enemy. You don't need it but it doesn't hurt to have

Infernal Cry - This will drastically improve our damage on any of our skills we use this on. Be sure to use this when bossing and whenever needed in maps

Solar Orb - Make sure its the lowest level possible (Level 5) so it has a low INT Requirement. We use this so we can apply Fire Exposure and get Rage and Life Regeneration.

Herald of Ash - Improves our clear speed and is a nice compliment to the build. Throw Cannibalism and Vitality here for some added Survivability

Berserk - This adds a LOT of damage for us as we have rage when bossing and mapping. Just be sure to have enough Life Regeneration from things like Leather Bindings so it doesn't constantly drain HP

You can see what nodes I pick as I progress the tree with the Notable Priority Feature!

I tried to organize the Notable Passive's in the order and Route I'd take them as best as I could. The weapon set points are crucial to getting the most out of our damage as our Weapon Set 2 is our Perfect Strike Hammers. This is so we get the most Area of Effect out of Weapon Set 1 and the most Damage out of Weapon Set 2.

I've used Path of Building to try to best path this skill tree but there may be some variants that may be better than this. Feel free to come by my YT and leave me suggestions in my comments!

Atlas Tree

This is my preferred current method of farming but I have found good value out of Essences and Strongboxes if you juice them and corrupt them. The most straight forward method is going to be what I have shown here.

I would avoid Rogue Exiles no matter what, they just don't spawn frequently regardless if you've built into them and they spawn with corrupted gear half the time. Until they're buffed, don't bother with them.
