Build Overview

Hi Everyone,

This build revolves around using Stormblast Bolts and Explosive Grenade for maximum single target damage while using Explosive Shot to clear. My current setup doesn't use Nova Projectiles, but it can be incorporated if you like that playstyle.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Very strong single target damage
  • A+ tier clear thanks to Explosive Shot, not as strong as Lightning Arrow
  • Very good survivability
  • Grenades can be a bit clunky sometimes
  • 2 button build for single target

Crossbow - You want a high Physical damage crossbow with +6 attack skills and Onslaught on Kill mod, the third suffix can be whatever you want, preferably crit damage or attack speed. There are a lot of videos on how to craft this weapon.

Constricting Command - best in slot helmet, allows us to take all the surrounded mods on the tree, you really want a 5 fewer roll on this for maximum QOL

Blueflame Bracers - converts all the fire damage to cold, allowing us to use Herald of Ice for better clear and more damage

Boots - High movement speed, pure evasion boots with deflection. Spicysushi has a video on how to craft this, I followed his guide

Belt - Just life, armor if possible, and a lot of resistances

Rings- Resistances, life, % evasion, and if you can, flat damage or rarity.

Amulet - get at least +2 projectile skills, if not +3. The other mods can be rarity, resistances and whatever else you're missing. Anoint The Wild Cat for more evasion if you're lacking.

Body Armor - Pure evasion, deflection mod, try to get a tleast 2k evasion on it.

Jewels - Against the Darkness with 4% of damage as extra fire is nice for damage, you can also get chaos res, life on the other mod, place this in the jewel socket next to Thrill of Battle. I'm also using heart of the Well jewel, that i got randomly that has damage while your companion is in your presence, and damage as extra lightning.

Explosive Shot for clear, throw some Explosive Grenade on the tanky rare and they should do the trick.

Stormblast Bolts and Mortar Cannon are for single target bosses, plant a lot of Stormblast Bolts, and Mortar Cannon will do the rest throwing Explosive Grenade and detonating the bolts.

Allocates all your grenades to WEAPON 2, and your Stormblast Bolts to WEAPON 1. Green on the tree is for grenades, and red is for Stormblast Bolts.

Atlas Tree

How it Plays

For mapping, it's a 1 button build, just using Explosive Shot for clearing. We don't have to worry about mana since we're using Constricting Command and Defy II, so our skills can be used even though we're out of mana, so that's a massive QOL feature.

For single target you wanna lay you Stormblast Bolts where the boss is and use Mortar Cannon linked with Explosive Grenade to detonate the bolts and just delete the boss from existence.

It's very important that your Constricting Command is the max roll on the requirement to be surrounded, it must be 5 fewer enemies, to take advantage of that node.

Because we count as being surrounded all the time, we take the surrounded nodes on the tree, giving a lot of good stats, like attack damage, movement speed, evasion, armor and so on.
