TLDR

Stack mana and use it for both defense and offense. Lightning is perfect because of Pure Power, Crown of Eyes and Arcane Intensity. Together you get a bunch for free damage and benefits.

Branching Bolts is litearlly for free and gives Lightning Spear chaining potential.

Chayula Monk is used because of Mana leech which can sustain attacks and life very easily through Ravenous Doubts.

Problems solved:

Currently CI is bugged where you're treated as 1 life, not life before CI. This means you will get perma stunned and frozen.

To deal with stun, you can either not take CI, wait for bugfix or get Eye of Chayula.

To deal with ailments, you can either take ailment threshold from Natural Immunity with CI, or just go without CI.

Mana recoup is extremely strong as a defensive layer because the more damage you take, the more you recoup and it acts like a buffer to keep you alive while you leech. Very important. 50% belt + 20% annoint is 70 already, corrupted for 80 and maybe future 86 if it's reasonable.

get strong quarterstaff, take lightning damage nodes.

Lightning Spear + Lightning Infusion + Primal Armament

Primal Strikes + Elemental Focus + Pursuit (animation cancel: hit 1, hit 2, Lightning Spear)

If you can get a good spear, can probably swap at primal strikes
