FREEZE AND MAKE EM BLEED!
This build has great damage and high survivability! Very well rounded build but can be transitioned into glass cannon or Tank if you prefer that style. I went with the more well rounded version.
LEVELING SKILLS
- Level with
Lightning Arrow &
Lightning Rod until level 31
Lightning Arrow is good for small content and ads- For Bosses and tough rares, Shoot a few
Lightning Rod at the bosses feet, then spam
Lightning Arrow to chain between the rods and the enemy.
- Level 31 we swap to
Ice Shot &
Snipe. - The goal is to freeze with Ice shot and then One shot the frozen boss with Snipe
- Early on, use
Freezing Salvo to supplement freeze - Once you have good cold damage in your build, swap Salvo for
Tornado Shot &
Barrage.
Freezing Mark is essential to freeze faster once we swap to the cold version
- NOTE - Look for as much flat damage as you can on weapon, rings, and gloves as you level.
- Flat damage looks like "Adds # to # Cold Damage to Attacks"
- % Increased Cold damage is nice later but isn't as helpful as flat damages as you level.
CHANCE TO BLEED
YOU NEED BOTH "CHANCE TO INFLICT BLEEDING ON HIT" and "CHANCE TO INFLICT AILMENTS"
Chance to bleed is a specific flat percentage to apply the bleeding ailment, while chance to inflict ailments acts as a multiplier that scales your existing chance to bleed.
How They Interact
- Chance to Bleed: This is your base probability on hit to cause a bleed. If an item or passive tree node gives you
20% chance to inflict Bleeding on Hit, your baseline chance is 20%. - Chance to Inflict Ailments: This stat scales your baseline. If you have a 50% chance to bleed and gain
+10% increased chance to inflict ailments, it increases your bleed chance by 10% of that base value (resulting in 55%, not 60%). - The Zero-Base Rule: Because general increased chance to inflict ailment stats scale your existing chance, they provide no benefit if your base chance to bleed from skills, gear, or tree nodes is at 0%.
FREEZE BUILDUP
Until you have high cold damage output, you need to have a good amount of FREEZE BUILDUP in your build. If you feel like you aren't freezing enough you can add freeze buildup in the tree as well as on jewels. There isn't a specific number to aim for, it's goping to vary based on how much cold damage you do. Early on, for difficult bosses, I would replace Fork with Freeze to get a faster freeze on the boss
