Intro
This build features Spark-like gameplay from patch 0.1, which might be it's main attracting point. Not only that, but it's about 3-4x MORE DAMAGE than any
Rake build seen so far. Screen-wide clear, decent survivability. No more jumping back and forth with
Disengage, you're not a yo-yo!
How does it work?
Twister is a physical skill that can be scaled in various ways. As this is a Bleed-based build, we want as much phys damage as possible in a single hit, and that is done by shooting Twisters into
Whirlwind Lance at high stages, in order to multiply the twisters and multiply the damage by insane amounts.
Twister also Pierces all targets, and bounces off walls, meaning it's essentially
Spark that works for Bleed/Poison builds.
As we're scaling Critical strike, we're (only) interested in biggest hits possible that will inflict Bleed. For now, we're using Lacerate, Incision on
Spearfield and some nodes on the tree to make that happen almost 100% of the time.
To do maximum damage, we need Frenzy charges for
Whirlwind Lance. This build uses only one Unique item right now,
Bushwhack (1 ex!), which makes all phys damage generate Pin. This is ideal for
Combat Frenzy. Now we have a huge damage and AoE boost overall. Bonus:
Herald of Blood support gem Bone Shrapnel now makes everything go even more boom!
Act 1-3 Build
Level with
Rake and Stomping Ground until you acquire a Skill Gem XI (lvl 11) for
Whirlwind Lance, which is at start of Act 1 Cruel.
Act 1 Cruel to Early Endgame Build
Twister is the main damage dealing skill that can sometimes even one-shot Rares with it's insane damage scaling thru
Whirlwind Lance. Build variant provided.
T15 Endgame Build (Low Budget)
A fast moving
Companion: {0} with at least Haste Aura (ideally + Trail of Lightning). Drop Malady from
Whirlwind Lance, and any nodes mentioning Incision. You should have 95-100% bleed chance on crit.
