[0.5] GEMLING SPARK - Endgame BLASTER @animeprincess

Build Overview

Gemling Spark Endgame Build Guide

Gemling Spark is my Build of the League for 0.5!

Gemling Spark is a fast, tanky endgame caster built around one-button Spark mapping, automatic Arc and Comet triggers, and the massive Pinnacle of Power buff from Adonia's Ego. The final version can handle fully juiced solo content, six-player scaling in 200% delirious content, and juiced expeditions. Many of the expensive items are optional upgrades rather than requirements.

100 Div Budget Setup

There is now an alternate setup for ~100 divines invested, which you can find on this current page in the build tabs. It's called '100 Div Budget Setup', and has a full video guide going over all the details here.

Key Features of Gemling Spark

  • Extremely fast movement while casting
  • Large Energy Shield pool
  • Low mana costs despite high-level skills
  • Automatic Cast on Critical and Cast on Elemental Ailment triggers
  • Strong freezing and screen-wide clear
  • Two-to-five-minute Pinnacles of Power duration
  • Optional Frost Wall scaling for extreme content
  • Most Spark Sorceress gear can be reused

For normal mapping, activate Pinnacle of Power and cast Spark while moving. Arc and Comet trigger automatically, while Spark continues bouncing and dealing damage and triggering spells because of the build’s heavy duration investment.

Gear Priorities

Adonia’s Ego

Adonia's Ego is mandatory. A corrupted +4 version is a luxury upgrade rather than a requirement. The video guide is mandatory viewing to properly understand how to leverage the confusing Pinnacle of Power.

Focus

Use the recommended Tasalian Focus base for Runic Ward. Prioritize Energy Shield and other useful defensive or offensive modifier, as seen on the example focus. You can add the ward on it yourself via the crafting bench.

Amulet

Absent Amulet budget and expensive crafting guides are found on my youtube channel.

Rings

Use two rare rings with:

  • Cast speed
  • Mana-cost efficiency
  • Flat mana
  • Energy Shield
  • Remnant pickup range
  • Resistances, critical chance, or rarity

Unset Ring is helpful for fitting Convalescence and Elemental Conflux, but they are optional.

Maligaro’s Virtuosity

Maligaro's Virtuosity fixes critical damage at 250%, removing the downside of Pinpoint Critical without requiring passive-tree investment into critical-damage scaling. It is difficult to replace efficiently.

Mageblood

Mageblood is a major luxury upgrade. Quicksilver, Silver, and Bismuth are strong default flask choices, although Diamond, Sulphur, or Gold can also be used.

Alternatives would be a cheap Invoking Belt with the mods: cast speed during flask effect, spell damage during flask effect. In this case use a Lavianga's Spirits flask for permanent buff uptime.

Boots

Skill-effect duration on boots is excellent but extremely expensive. Treat it as a final min-max upgrade. Normal res boots will be fine.

Upgrade Priority

Focus on the functional core before purchasing luxury items.

  1. Adonia’s Ego
  2. Correct weapon-swap setup
  3. Enough Runic Ward
  4. Split Personality Sorceress Jewel
  5. Balanced support-gem colors
  6. Mana sustain and cast speed
  7. Strong Energy Shield
  8. Skill levels and duration
  9. Better jewels and rare gear
  10. Mageblood, Voices, corruptions, and perfect items

Steps 1-8 are all extremely budget, and you can realistically get this online for ~20 divines if you stretch your budget as much as possible.

The showcased character costs at least a mirror, but the build does not require every showcased item to perform well.

Skill Usage

Spark

The main spell we are casting in order to proc Cast on Critical and Cast on Elemental Ailment

Cast on Critical: Arc

Arc improves clear and secondary damage. Keep the entire setup assigned to weapon set one.

Cast on Elemental Ailment: Comet

Comet provides heavy automatic burst damage. Living Bomb helps keep Comet fire-infused when many Comets are triggering rapidly.

Orb of Storms

Use Orb of Storms as an optional damage steroid for difficult bosses or rares. While standing within its area, repeatedly casting Spark causes Orb of Storms to continue firing.

Mana Tempest

Use Mana Tempest when extra burst damage is useful. It can remain available on both weapon sets.

Convalescence

Convalescence restarts Energy Shield recharge during dangerous situations. It is optional but highly valuable when socket space allows.

Elemental Conflux

When Frost Wall is not being used, Elemental Conflux is an optional passive damage option if you have enough Spirit.

Optional Frost Wall Setup

Frost Wall is intended for six-player carries and unusually difficult content. It is not necessary for normal solo mapping.

Verglas on Spark grants additional cold damage based on the life of destroyed Ice Crystals. Frost Wall creates those crystals, while Glacier, Uhtred’s Augury, Spell Cascade, increase their life and quantity.

The basic rotation becomes:

  1. Place Frost Wall.
  2. Cast Spark through the walls.
  3. Destroy the crystals to gain a major damage boost.

For ordinary content, replace this package with the simpler standard Spark setup. This Frost Wallwould replace either Convalescence or Elemental Conflux, as we are limited in gem slots.

Why Gemling Legionnaire?

Gemling provides several major advantages for Spark.

Gem Studded

Balance your Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence support gems so you have the same number of each. Unused skills such as Power Siphon can hold extra supports to fix the totals.

Bonuses include:

  • Enemies deal no extra critical-strike damage
  • Skills have 30% less cost
  • 40% less movement-speed penalty while using skills

The reduced movement penalty is one of the main reasons the build feels so smooth. Combined with Mobility Support, you can continuously cast Spark without slowing down significantly.

Implanted Gems

The ascendancy grants levels to Intelligence skills, benefiting:

  • Spark
  • Cast on Critical Arc
  • Cast on Elemental Ailment Comet

Advanced Thaumaturgy

Additional gem quality improves nearly every part of the setup, including Spark projectiles, Arc chains, critical chance, reservation efficiency, and utility-skill quality.

Mandatory Jewel:

Split Personality Sorceress is mandatory for the final tree. It allows the Mercenary to path from the Sorceress starting area without retaining the inefficient travel nodes used during leveling.

Other jewel options

Heart of the Well is probably the cheapest upgrade to make here

From Nothing provides the most value in terms of pathing points it saves. Before you can afford this, just grab less jewel sockets and path to the nodes taken here. (in order to see the full from nothing setup, you are required to download the pob or watch the timestamp in the video guide, as its not support on mobalytics)

Megalomaniac helps grab an important node as a '3rd' or '2nd' anoint.

Voices Sapphire can be ignored as its an expensive min-max upgrades

Prism of Belief can also be ignored as its an expensive min-max upgrades

How it Plays

Adonia’s Ego and Pinnacles of Power

Adonia's Ego gives access to Pinnacle of Power. While active, your mixed elemental damage can reliably shock, ignite, and freeze, allowing Siphon Elements to generate infusions and remnants.

Pinnacles of Power grants 17% more damage per consumed Power Charge. With nine charges, this becomes:

153% more damage

The downside is that Adonia’s Ego reduces your elemental resistances while you have Power Charges. For that reason, charges must only be generated on weapon set two and immediately consumed.

The video guide goes over the quick button rotation as well as weapon set requirements in order to leverage the massive upsides without ever taking on a res penalty.

How it Works

Common Mistakes

  • Generating Power Charges on the main weapon set
  • Casting Firestorm outside the Adonia’s rotation
  • Assigning weapon-set-two skills to both sets
  • Failing to balance support-gem colors for Gem Studded
  • Treating Frost Wall as mandatory
  • Buying luxury gear before correctly setting up Pinnacles of Power

Progression Options

You can level Gemling directly using the dedicated leveling guide, or begin with Spark Sorceress and transfer most of the completed gear after leveling the Mercenary.

The Sorceress route is safer for gradual progression, while direct Gemling leveling is better for players who already have the required currency and equipment.
