Here we'll showcase a handful of recommended builds to help guide you during the early to mid game. Specific stats and items aren't required, making them a solid entry point to jump into.
If you're just starting out and haven't unlocked the second Skill Slot yet, simply skip to the next priority node in the meantime.
Disclaimer:
Melee heroes have a pretty rough time in Task Bar Hero. Trying to tank and sustain damage can often be quite the struggle, especially when multiple ranged attacks come flying towards them as they pull aggro.
While there is yet to be a consensus about the best builds, a good place to start would include stacking Max HP and Life Leech (aim for around ~10%) on your Armor/Accessories.
Level 20 Knight Build
The initial skill points are focused purely on survival, allowing the Knight to hopefully live while your other heroes handle the DPS. Given the lack of materials at this point of the game, there's really no sense investing more points into offense.

Skill Point Priority
- Piercing Thrust 1/5
- Max Health 8/8
- Attack Damage 1/3
- Retribution Strike 1/5
- Armor 8/8
- HP Regen Per Sec 1/5
Level 30 Knight Build
Continues to maximize defenses by adding Block Chance for reduced Physical Damage.

Skill Point Priority
- Piercing Thrust 1/5
- Max Health 8/8
- Attack Damage 1/3
- Retribution Strike 1/5
- Armor 8/8
- HP Regen Per Sec 1/5
- Block Chance 10/10
Level 40 Knight Build
This is where the Knight finally gets a relevant defense boost. The percentage-based Max HP nodes scale really nicely, especially once you start stacking more Max HP later on.

Skill Point Priority
- Piercing Thrust 1/5
- Max Health 8/8
- Attack Damage 1/3
- Retribution Strike 1/5
- Armor 8/8
- HP Regen Per Sec 1/5
- Block Chance 10/10
- Max Health (%) 10/10
Level 50 Knight Build
Once you reach level 50+, several options start to open up. Now that you have increased Physical Damage, you can begin investing into Life Leech and get Piercing Thrust/Retribution Strike to 5/5.
Alternatively, you can focus more on defenses first, and try to cap out Block Chance and All Resist. When putting points here, check your detailed stats to make sure none go to waste. Both of these cap at 75%, and it's very likely you'll hit that without full investment.
Beyond level 70, prioritize the Damage Reduction node, and eventually you can put more into Attack Speed and Attack Damage.
Power Leveling Tips
- If your sole purpose is to power level the Knight alongside your higher level characters, replace Piercing Thrust with Unyielding Will (5/5) to help with survival.
- Avoid equipping Boots unless they don't grant Movement Speed. Otherwise, the Knight may pull too much aggro and cause your squishy DPS to die. You'll want the Knight positioned at the back.

Skill Point Priority
- Piercing Thrust 1/5
- Max Health 8/8
- Attack Damage 1/3
- Retribution Strike 1/5
- Armor 8/8
- HP Regen Per Sec 1/5
- Block Chance 10/10
- Max Health (%) 10/10
- Physical Damage 10/10
