Overview

Mastery Points (MSP) are the main resource used to enhance your characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and with Endless Ragnarok, their importance is greater than ever.

Whether you’re investing in maxing out your masteries, optimizing over-mastery rolls, or fueling the new Master Trait system, MSP gets used up at an incredible pace. Fully capping a single character now requires approximately 1.7 million MSP.

The upside is that now, MSP farming is now quicker than before. In this guide, you’ll find the top farming locations for each phase, advice on the best sigils for boosting your gains, and tips for maximizing your efficiency.

Equip These Two Sigil Traits First

Before you start farming MSP, make sure you arrange your sigils to maximize your rewards. The Path to Mastery sigil increases the MSP earned for each enemy defeated, with its bonus rising up to 30% at higher levels. Fast Learner offers a similar benefit, enhancing MSP received from both enemy kills and quest completions.

It’s highly recommended that you build a farming setup that centers around these sigils. Over the course of an hour, these boosts may result in a dramatic increase in your total MSP.

Your First Real Farm: Jumbo Crab's Title Fight

Once you’ve reached Fatebreaker Grade and unlocked Endless Ragnarok, you’ll gain access to the Jumbo Crab Title Fight. Each successful run can yield roughly 10,000 to 12,000 MSP, far surpassing any farming options from the base game.

Because the crab is heavily armored, you’ll need to knock it off the arena to deal damage, repeating this process four times to claim victory. If you clear the fight in under six minutes and can complete the mini objectives, you’ll earn the maximum possible MSP for the run. Simply repeat the quest to steadily accumulate Mastery Points.

The Big One: Revenge Of The Ooze

Revenge of the Ooze is one of the primary MSP farming quest in Endless Ragnarok. You’ll unlock it at Chaos+ difficulty after completing all Chaos quests, making it Endless Ragnarok's equivalent to the base game’s Slimepede.

The objective is simple: defeat as many slimes as possible within a three-minute time limit. The more you eliminate, the higher your MSP payout will be, so bringing a strong party with you directly increases your earnings. Each run typically yields between 30,000 and 70,000 MSP, but with an optimized team, you can surpass this even further.

An Endgame Alternative: The Myths Are Real

After completing the Endless Ragnarok story and unlocking Defy Infinity mode, you’ll gain access to a set of Chaos++ missions. The Myths Are Real stands out as an excellent all-purpose farming option for said missions. In the quest, you will face off against an enhanced version of a previous boss and earn a substantial amount of MSP for your efforts.

What really sets this mission apart is its diverse rewards: you’ll gather rightstones, Silver Centrum, fortitude crystals, sigils, summons, and Rafal coins. You can also trade any extra summons back at the shop for even more MSP, letting you accumulate weapon materials, summon passives, and MSP in a single run. If you’re already grinding Defy Infinity, this mission is arguably the most efficient choice.

AFK Farming: Set It and Forget It

Full Assist Mode will enable your character to handle combat automatically, leaving you responsible only for movement. To activate it, navigate to the Gameplay tab. After the Endless Ragnarok update, this mode functions on nearly every quest.

Keep in mind, you’ll be returned to town after about ten consecutive runs, so check in periodically instead of leaving the game running unattended for long stretches.

Now for the key tip: focus on building Eustace. He’s widely regarded as the top choice for AFK farming because of his behavior. While most characters will dodge away from enemies and often end up idle, Eustace positions himself at an optimal range and continues attacking.

Other ranged characters, like Rackam, can be serviceable substitutes, but Eustace is the clear favorite. Equip him with your best weapon and sigils, to ensure Path to Mastery is active on your whole party, hold your control stick forward, and he’ll handle the farming while you take care of the other tasks.

If You're Still in the Base Game

If you haven’t reached the expansion yet, your top farming options are Assault Formation on Extreme difficulty (available at the Veteran Skyfarer Grade) and Slimepede on Maniac. While the DLC quests now offer better returns, these are still solid choices for MSP farming.

Once a character hits Level 100, any extra experience they earn is automatically converted into MSP, so running a full squad of max level characters lets you collect MSP effortlessly as you play. If you find a particular quest challenging, consider adding a pre-built backup character to your fourth slot to help clear it more efficiently.

Quick Tips

Equip Path to Mastery and Fast Learner sigils first as they boost all MSP gains. For early farming, Jumbo Crab’s Title Fight nets 10,000+ MSP per clear. Revenge of the Ooze (Chaos+) is the best overall.

The Myths Are Real offers a bit less MSP, but rewards you with plenty of weapon materials and summons. For AFK farming, build Eustace, since his AI stays aggressive and in range. Use Full Assist Mode, but check in after every ten runs.
