Character Profile

Chiz is a S-Class Cosmos character with a Gas Arc. She is not part of any banner, and is guaranteed for every account that reaches level 18 on City Tycoon. All her dupes, her weapon, and weapon dupes are free from higher City Tycoon levels as well. Therefore, every player shall eventually have her maxed.

Chiz can play as a main carry (From A0) or a Cosmos DPS support (At R2 - after unlocking all Awakenings), and she buffs Charged reaction, making her a good pair with Anima, Lakshana, and other Cosmos characters. Her gameplay involves some precise timing, RNG, and multiple uses of her Skill during her Ultimate. And she is guaranteed to Crit.

Best Teams

Play Chiz as a Main Carry or a DPS Support. Her ideal comps revolve around Charged, to benefit from her extra Ultimate energy generation. But sometimes in Beyond the Rail mode you need her in a second team - that lacks the necessary characters for Charged.

Maximum Energy Generation Team

Chiz Zero Jiuyuan Hathor

Between Zero’s ability to fill the Esper Meter for instant reaction, and the Energy regenerated from Charged and Chiz’s passive, this team has the highest Ultimate uptime. Switching from Zero or Chiz (Cosmos) to Hathor (Lakshana) procs Remora, and switching to Jiuyuan procs Blossom. Together, they proc Charged.

As on-field Carry, Chiz gets the most out of Energy Regeneration, to spam her Ultimate every rotation. With Hathor and Zero as burst DPS, and Jiuyuan as the support to gather enemies and heal (at A1).

F2P Budget Team

Chiz Mint Hathor Haniel

Fewer reactions, more buffs, and fewer S-Class characters required. Use this version of Chiz’s team in Beyond the Rail, when your other team is using all the premium support characters for a Blossom team.

Mint, with her short cooldowns and Dodge resets, can fill the field time while Chiz Ultimate is down. Then switch from Mint to Chiz for Blossom, and from Chiz to Hathor for Remora and Charged. Haniel uses Ultimate and Skill and switches out, while benefiting Hathor by triggering Stain (Psyche and Lakshana vulnerability).

This proved to be less effective comp than Premium team.

Face Tank Nova Team

Chiz Hathor Fadia Daffodill

In dire situations, where DPS is not the problem, but team survivability is; you can abandon optimal reactions and go for survival. Suitable for pushing Beyond the Rail endgame floors, to get one or two stars, instead of dying and failing the stage.

Fadia provides high survivability, suitable for Chiz’s Hyper Carry style, where she wants to survive the enemy attacks for long. She relies on Daffodill to trigger Nova, and Daffodill in general breaks Bosses faster, but she will find it harder to switch in and out with Chiz taking most field time. But overall a tanky team that pushes against the odds. And avoids premium characters from Nanally’s main team.

Best Weapons

  • BiS: Contemplative Cat (F2P)
  • Mid Game F2P: Good Boy's Grand Adventure

You don’t get Chiz before mid-game, as level 18 in City Tycoon takes time to reach. By that time, you have gained a lot of S-Rank Arcs, including Good Boy's Grand Adventure. Use it, until you get to level 21 in City Tycoon to get Chiz’s signature weapon: Contemplative Cat

Contemplative Cat simply gives Chiz Crit Damage, and scales Cosmos DMG% based on the amount of Fons the player has in their account. It can stack up to ten times, each stack gives 2.5% Cosmos DMG per 100k Fons. At one million Fons and higher, it grants 25% Cosmos DMG. After getting all weapon dupes (at Tycoon level 45), the bonus hits 45% at max.

Best Cartridges & Modules

  • Cartridge: Lost Radiance
  • Cartridge Main Stat: Cosmos DMG%
  • Substats: CRIT DMG / Universal DMG% > Anything

Lost Radiance provides Cosmos DMG and Def Ignore after using Ultimate, which is a perfect match for Chiz. All of Chiz damage comes from using her Skill after her Ultimate.

Chiz’s enhanced skill (After using Ultimate) either score a guaranteed Critical hit (First Skill out of Three), or can't score a Critical Hits (2nd and third skill use). That means Crit rate stat is useless on Chiz, and she gains no extra Critical Hits from it. Her most impactful Main Stat is Cosmos DMG%, followed by CRIT DMG.

Console bonus gives Chiz 10% Cosmos DMG with every Type III module, and Cosmos set requires 2x Type III modules. So you can stack a total of four Type III modules, for 40% Cosmos DMG. That’s on top of Cosmos DMG from Arc, Main Stat, and A6, for a massive DPS increase.

ATK% has a minimum effect on Chiz, as her skill multipliers are relatively small. The overwhelming majority of her DPS comes from bonus damage from Grain, which replaces both, the Attack stat and skill multipliers in the damage formula. So prioritize Universal DMG% and CRIT DMG on substats, even if your build lack any Attack or ATK% substats.

For 3rd and 4th substats, use anything you find useful. Break Intensity works if it helps break the bosses one extra time or more. Don't actively seek ATK%, but if it happens to be on your modules, it helps her Ultimate damage, which is small, but better than nothing.

Skill Priority

Skill > Ultimate > Basic Attacks > Support Skill

Most of Chiz's DPS comes from bonus damage from Grain coming alongside her enhanced skills. This bonus doesn't take into account Chiz's Skill modifiers, so leveling her skill affect only the smaller portion of her DPS.

Don't stress over skill and Ultimate leveling, but when you have extra resources, they are a little boost.

Awakenings & Resonance

Awakenings
A1A1: Sun, Sun… speak to me!
A2A2: Fireworks in Silence
A3A3: If There Were No Rainy Days
A4A4: To Riceball, Bandage, Fons
A5A5: Blank Diary Pages
A6A6: Thirty-Three Days
ResonanceResonance: Friends and Family
ResonanceResonance: Homecoming

Awakening Priority: A3 > A1 > A6 > A4 = A2 > A5

How to Play

Chiz plays as main DPS at low Awakenings, and unlock extra support role at her second Resonance (R2) with max Awakenings. It reduced enemy's Cosmos resistance by 10%.

Main DPS Chiz

  • Relies on being on-field to gain Ultimate energy
  • Prefers triggering Charged (Remora + Blossom) right before getting on the field to fasten Ultimate energy recharge.
  • Using normal attacks, not for damage, but for building up Grain.
  • Starts her DPS with Ultimate casting, to activate 7 seconds burst window.
  • Watches the market fluctuations on Grain bar (right above her HP bar), and cast her skill while the Market is high.
  • Her Skill has three charges, with 3-second cooldown each.
    • Virtually she can cast her skill 7 times at max during burst
    • The fluctuations make spamming skills counterproductive (reduce her Grain)
    • With some luck on RNG, A3 unlocked, and precise timing, she can cast 4 or 5 times on high market
  • First cast of her skill is guaranteed to be a Critical Hit, dealing highest dmg in her entire rotation.
    • Make sure the Grain is maxed before using Ultimate, or about to be maxed with the amount gained from casting while high.
    • Use the first skill only when Market is high
  • Second and third casts doesn't score Critical Hits, so the two combined deal slightly less damage than the first cast (on high CRIT DMG)

Team rotation Tips

  • For a charged team, you have to trigger both Blossom and Remora close in time to each other.
  • Zero's instant Esper Meter refill is crucial to trigger several reactions.
  • To save your first reaction and align it with second one, switch from Cosmos character to another Cosmos (from Zero to Chiz) or a character with an element that doesn't react with Cosmos (from Chiz to Haniel) then return to character with full Esper Meter when second reaction is ready.
  • Don't use Edgar with Chiz, as his passive disable the gradual energy generation from Charged reaction in exchange for one energy burst on a long cooldown, which can go to the wrong character.
  • Hathor can refill Esper Meter if she did all her rotation by gaining all feathers (through hold skill) and unleashing all of her three skills. Give Hathor field time for this if Chiz Ultimate is down, and Charged is down as well.

Release Date

Chiz released alongside the official release of Neverness to Everness, which was April 29th, 2026 for global players, with China releasing the game slightly earlier on April 23rd, 2026.
