Peni Parker Overview
With an arsenal of webs, mines, and a spammable stun with a 3s cooldown, Peni Parker is the premiere trap character of Marvel Rivals.
Although she can contribute in offensive situations, her potential on that front pales compared to her defensive prowess.
Her kit provides a surprising amount of skill expression and players with high reaction times can stop enemy ultimates singlehandedly.
Overall, she's a character that's constantly influx between underrated and overrated as players continue to find the optimal way to play her.

TLDR
As
- Peni Parker excels at bunkering up and controlling space, so she’s much better suited for defense or stationary parts of maps.
- Playing around your Nest and webs is everything and greatly increases your survivability and damage output.
- Her Right-Click is one of the best crowd control abilities, being able to be spammed every 3 seconds and able to stop many ultimates. It’s a great tool for peeling your backline.
Against
- Hunt her Nest and destroy it before making a big push. Do not step on her webs or you’ll be bursted by her hidden mines.
- If your ultimate has a wind-up before casting time, avoid doing it right in front of Peni’s face or she’ll stun you.
- Be wary leaving the main entrance of your lobby spawn, Pen’s will often leave traps to pick off reckless enemies that don’t check.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
One of the best defenders
Peni Parker forces an attacking team to change their approach as she can lock down choke points and the objective area with her mines and webs.
Self-healing
She’s one of the rare heroes who’s able to heal herself, making her self-sufficient and less reliant on Strategists for uptime.
Playmaking potential
Peni players who have strong reaction time and are able to track enemy ults can make massive plays by stopping enemy ultimates with her Right-click.
Weaknesses
One of the worst attackers
Since Peni’s kit is at its best when she’s able to establish her nest and webs, she has trouble setting up on a moving payload or when attacking a defense point.
Much less threatening without standing on webs
Without her webs, Peni has less movement, less sustainability, and less damage output.
Limited ultimate
Compared to other Vanguards, Peni’s ultimate has lower impact potential. It’s pretty telegraphed and loses a lot of upside if her nest is destroyed.

Tips for CYBER-WEB CLUSTER
- Abuse its lack of reload
- Peni can really pressure an angle since she continually offers suppressing fire in comparison to her many enemies who have to reload.
- No fall-off range
- There’s no difference in its damage output compared to if you’re on top of your enemy or very far away.
- Don’t forget to headshot!
- Season 2 added the ability for Peni to deal critical damage with Cyber-Web Cluster. With no falloff damage, Peni can now dish out high damage at all ranges.

Tips for CYBER-WEB SNARE
- Shoot at the ground in a pinch
- If your Nest is destroyed and your F is on cooldown, you can Right-Click the ground to provide web to stand on.
- Identify the enemy ultimates that you can interrupt
- This includes Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, and many more.
- Be annoying/disruptive
- With a 3s cooldown, you can continually spam it at your enemies to make their life harder and even set up pick situations if your team has divers.

Tips for BIONIC SPIDER-NEST
- Positioning is everything
- You’ll want to find the balance between putting your Nest in a spot where it can be effective while also being protected. This will vary from map to map and will be harder to do as you climb.
- Body block to protect the Nest
- If you’re healthy and in a position to get healed, you can body block your Nest if it's in danger to extend its survival.
- Reposition it when appropriate
- If you have a feeling that your enemies are catching on to your Nest’s location or might come from a different angle (perhaps with a Portal) feel free to move the Nest as necessary. The less damage it's taken, the lower its cooldown to recast it will be.
- If Spider-Nest hasn’t taken any damage, Peni can instantly replace it to a new location with zero cooldown.

Tips for ARACHNO-MINE
- Set up or Skirmish
- Your mines are versatile, being useful with setups with your webs, but can also be spammed in battle for additional burst even if you don’t have webs established.
- Can be destroyed in the air
- When shooting mines at an attacking enemy, your mines will get destroyed if they come into contact with the enemy's attacks. Try shooting mines diagonally toward the enemy but out of the direction of their attacks.
- Use terrain
- Mines can be placed on walls, ceilings, pillars, and any other terrain. Be creative and sneaky with your placement to keep your enemies guessing and get free picks.

Tips for CYBER-BOND
- Use it to chase or escape
- Cyber-Bond is very versatile with a wide range of applications in offensive or defensive situations
- Highly spammable
- With a cooldown of 3s, use Cyber-bond to get back into battle or reposition quickly and often.
- Shorter swing range
- Compared to Spider-man and Venom’s web swings, Peni’s Cyber-Bond has a much shorter range. Make sure to get accustomed to it in the Practice Range.
- Anytime Peni walks 10m or more away from the Cyber-Bond, she’ll be quickly pulled back to the webbed location.

Tips for SPIDER-SWEEPER
- Know when to use left or right-click
- Left-click is better when you want to CC and disrupt the enemy team while Right-click is better for area control and burst damage since it produces more mines on your web.
- Try to ult with your nest set up
- Since your web acts as a connective tissue that transports your mines to parts that your enemy’s touch, it gains a burst of effectiveness if you’re able to connect it to your nest before running towards enemies.

- Control the high ground

Tips for ARMOR EXPULSION
- Survivability in a pinch
- In clutch situations where every point of health matters, Armor Expulsion gives a burst of survivability with 50% damage reduction.
- Venom + Peni are kind of bad together
- It usually isn’t worth playing Venom and Peni together since Venom wants to dive and Peni doesn’t offer any shields. So the combination will leave your team’s backline pretty vulnerable and easy to shoot at.

Team Comp Synergies
Peni works best with other allies that excel when the enemy team is either grouped or susceptible to getting caught for picks. She can help peel for backlines that are vulnerable to dive like Magik, and can set up or stack crowd control with her Right-Click. She isn't the best choice as a main tank, so avoid using her as a solo Vanguard.

Hero Synergies
Vanguards: Groot
An insane combo on defense. Groot provides additional protection to her Nest and makes it incredibly difficult for the enemy team to attack as they have to deal with walls and mines in order to make a push.
Duelists: Winter Soldier
If Peni lands her Right-Click, Bucky can easily follow up with a hook engagement. They can also chase down enemies together for resets with their mobile ultimates. Peni’s snare also helps Bucky land easy headshots every time she stuns someone.
Strategists: Mantis
Whether it's web into sleep or vice versa, they can extend each other’s CC. When enemies are CC’d Mantis gets easier headshots which also refreshes her Life Orbs. Peni’s self-healing helps to deal with Mantis’s healing which can be lackluster in longer fights. Mantis has an ultimate that grants her team AoE movement speed boost, so they can initiate together.
